While my wife was operating our 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Series III (5.7L HEMI eTorque, ~44,700 miles) at highway speed, the vehicle suffered a sudden and complete electrical power failure. Electric power steering cut out completely while the vehicle was in motion, creating an immediate safety hazard and nearly causing an accident. The vehicle was disabled and required towing. The dealership (Safford Jeep) diagnosed fault code P0B32: catastrophic internal hardware and voltage failure of the 48-volt eTorque Hybrid Battery Pack. The 12-volt battery was also destroyed as a consequence of the 48V pack failure — the 12V charges exclusively via a DC-to-DC converter fed by the 48V loop; when the pack failed, the converter lost power and the 12V battery was starved of charge. NOTE: This incident is consistent with the active NHTSA ODI preliminary evaluation of 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Ram 1500 eTorque electrical failures. FCA/Stellantis has acknowledged these failures are likely caused by an electrical concern. My P0B32 event represents a catastrophic failure of the exact system under investigation, with the additional safety consequence of complete loss of power steering at highway speed. Stellantis Corporate Case #96719164 is open. The vehicle has been repaired (48V battery pack replaced) but Stellantis has declined to address the warranty access barrier created by their diagnostic system architecture. The dealer's equipment required a new 12-volt battery installation before it could communicate with the covered hybrid system — a $645 mandatory prerequisite to accessing a Federal Emissions Warranty repair.

2022 Wagoneer Series III has major alignment issues and ruining tires with the outside tire edges cupping/wearing bald due to the alignment kicking out within an hour of being aligned and driven at highway speeds. Vehicle also has a death wobble when going over 65 mph and pulls hard to the right almost causing the vehicle to go off the road or into another lane if you are not bare knuckling the steering wheel to the left to counteract the hard right pulling. Vehicle has been in and out of the Dealership since 12/2024 to address the problem, however FCA/Stellanis has come back with no fix or solution to the problem and states to bring the vehicle in every 3,000 miles to have an alignment done, which is unacceptable. The vehicle has most recently been at the Dealership since 1/2026 and is still currently at the Dealership as of today 6/5/2026. A Star ticket was opened with the Manufacturer to address the issues, and a Field Engineer was sent out who was unable to diagnose why the alignment is falling out after the vehicle is realigned. Stellanis/FCA is now claiming this is a "maintenance" issue and not a manufacturing defect. The Dealership most recently had an independent technician who specializes in diagnostics/troubleshooting FCA issues look at the vehicle and the technician also could not diagnose why the alignment is continuing to fail. Online forums have hundreds of Consumer complaints about this same issue with trying to get it resolved with FCA directly and having no luck. This is a major safety issue that will eventually lead to a tire blowout or veering off the road and could result in serious injuries to someone if this is not addressed properly. It should not take someone getting in an accident or being killed/seriously injured for FCA/Stellanis to take this manufacturing defect seriously. These vehicles need to be recalled and thoroughly inspected with thorough alignment testing.

Car begins to wobble very violently when going over 65. This has been ongoing for a while now and when I took it to the Jeep dealership they said it was just my tires. The problem is worse now and I feel unsafe driving my vehicle. I also was never called back for my recalls to be taken care of.

When driving the car this winter, noticed the smell of something burning. After that, the heated steering wheel stopped warming. Took it to a repair shop since there was open no recall related to this. Repair shop diagnosis: - heated steering wheel not working due to electrical short. More info below, pictures included. Finding Confirmed customer concern. Attempted to activate the heated steering wheel and found the light to come on for roughly 4-5 seconds then shut itself off. Scanned the vehicle and found 2 fault pertaining to the heating element and steering wheel having an open circuit. Removed the airbag and visually inspected all connectors for the steering wheel. Found the 2 pin connector from the steering wheel to the clock spring to be stuck in the clock spring. Further removed the steering wheel and trim pieces around the steering column and visually inspected the clock spring. Found the 2 pin connector between the steering wheel and the clock spring to be melted together and noticed the wires were getting hot to touch when activating the heated steering wheel. Back probed the connector between the clock spring and the heated steering wheel connector and found less than 2 volts present. Monitored and found while the steering wheel was being moved left to right the voltage would fluctuate dramatically. Recommend replacing the air bag clock spring and steering wheel due to melt damage and further monitor voltage and functionality of the heated steering wheel and other accessories. Highly recommend not operating the heated steering wheel until repairs have been made. Could cause more damage to the surrounding components.

During normal driving in temperatures below approximately 20–27°F, the vehicle began losing electrical charge as indicated by the malfunction indicator light (MIL) and battery warning message. While my wife was attempting to return home, multiple vehicle systems progressively shut down, including electric power steering, ABS, auto-leveling suspension, and lane departure assistance. As she was pulling into our driveway, the vehicle completely shut off, resulting in total loss of propulsion and power steering. The vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. This was the second occurrence of this failure. A third incident occurred the following day under similar temperature conditions. During that event, MIL and battery warnings appeared again during normal driving. She was able to reach our driveway before complete shutdown occurred. On the most recent incident, the following diagnostic trouble codes were present: P0EEC, P1618, P0008, and U0111. These are the same codes that were recorded during the previous two incidents. After the first two failures, Kernersville Dodge stated the issue had been repaired and charged us for the repairs. The same failure condition has now reoccurred. This failure results in sudden loss of propulsion and loss of power steering while driving, creating a significant safety hazard.

While approaching a stop sign at a speed of less than 10mph with my wife and three small children in the car, the engine shut off and the steering/braking became degraded. I was able to restart the car after stopping, but the auto start / etorque does not appear to be working any more. I will be dropping the car off for diagnostics, but after some research this appears to be a common issue which is already under investigation.

I was driving down the road at 35 MPH when the Service Electric Power Steering (EPS) Message On Instrument Cluster came on. Then when I stopped the brakes were hard to deploy. I tried to reset it by turning it off and on. I had just replaced the backup batter several months back so i don't think that is it. i called the Dealership and told them I talked to Stellantis and they gave me the star online publication case number S2523000053 Rev A. on how to fix it. They said it would be several days and i would need to have it towed on my own. This a systemic problem with these vehicles I have had to pay for a recall because they said it didn't to apply to a Canadian vehicle even though it was made in Detroit. I bought it with a few thousand miles on it and have had nothing but trouble with it and a dealership that always says I would have to pay since it was Canadian. Either the screen is going black or some kind of warning on the dash it seems like every other month.

in December 2024 i received a check engine light with a locked code that disappeared after a short distance. The vehicle would not auto start from the key and we thought it was a battery .In February 2025 while on a trip i received a warning light for power steering fluid we went to a parts store and topped up the power steering fluid .on [XXX] i was driving the vehicle at 55mph while i had my [XXX] and [XXX] in the car as well as heavily pregnant along with my [XXX] grandmother . i pulled away from a traffic light and the dash board lights lit up completely check engine, stability, abs, emergency brake ,traction ,crash detection . I went to use the brakes and to change lanes and while doing so i lost brakes and power steering causing me to have to use a grass verge to bring the vehicle to a stop as the brake pedal was to the floor and the emergency brake was not engaging even though the light was lit on the dash. had i not pulled into grass to stop i would have been in a catastrophic accident. i took the vehicle to 2 Chrysler dodge jeep ram dealerships who could not fix the vehicle so took it to a 3rd dealership who were able to get brakes and power steering back into the vehicle . upon trying to pick up the vehicle within 24 - 48 hours i received a check engine light for brake pressure sensor the dealership have opened 6 star cases with jeep regarding this issue and just keep storing the code and returning the vehicle to me. when i take the vehicle to a auto zone or advance parts store with a check engine light the code is stored 4+ times with a red banner advising customer to not drive vehicle due to possible brake failure . I am 4 months into not having my vehicle and still have a check engine light for brake pressure sensor which has now been changed 4 times as well as the whole brake system. jeep are not assisting with anything other than keep telling the dealership to change the pressure sensor and re bleed the brake system. I have had extensive issues with the 2022 Wagoneer Series III. Battery has failed, leather seats show wear and signs of peeling after 2 years, main car display blacks out repeatedly, moon roof rattles, heated seats have gone out TWICE in front seats and needed to be replaced, the list goes on. Most recently, the power steering went out while I was driving. I called the dealership and they told me it was likely a fluke and to keep driving it. 4 days later, an automatic update was installed and now the Forward Collision Warning light is on. I don't know whether the collision system will work or not - can't test it, obviously. My safety is obviously at risk. Power steering stops mid-drive. Anti-collision system errors out. These most recent issues started on November 1, 2024.

Vehicle lost brakes for the second time while driving and also lost power steering. Vehicle was serviced at dealership after first incident and was supposedly fixed by replacing the battery. It was obviously not fixed since it happened again 12 days later. Both times the vehicle randomly, and with no warning, lost braking ability and power steering.

I was driving 35mph and my breaks and steering were not working. The car started to rattle and in order to stop the car I had to start pumping on the breaks as hard as I could and have it slow down but I had no steering control. I was luckily close to my house without turns so pulled over to my driveway by pumping the breaks and screaming for a neighbor to help me not hit other cars on the road. the week prior I had brought my car in for a recall for the electric side board that comes down when the doors are open to step into the car. It was a recall then they said I already had that looked at when I brought it in last year for recalls and so this time I would have to pay 1400 for the motor and I was told by the mechanic the electric issues would continue to arise now and to get rid of this car

Severe outside tire wear on front tires and vibration at interstate speeds. Multiple cases on the forums which no one can get resolved. Unacceptable. Results in bald tires in as little as 10000 miles. See picture and links to forums. Stellantis should really recall or TSB this issue, especially on a high end vehicle. We need consumer protection from the government on these lemons. Three posts below, but there are many more threads if you look on the forum. There is a major design issue with the front end of this truck. There is a problem with the front end that causes major outside tire wear. I had put about 7000 miles on the truck since I had it. The truck came with brand new tires and I had the steel belt showing and only noticed this when I washed the truck my self. I brought it to the dealership to get it looked at but they said they can’t find any reason for this. If you look at a lot of on-line forums you can see this is a major problem I’m not sure if it is the auto adjusting air ride suspension or just an issue with the front drive axel. The tires would have blown out when driving with my family if I didn’t notice this when I did.

Vehicle has had a noticeable vibration at highway speeds of 75-80 mph through the entire steering and front end, seemingly resulting in dangerous tire wear (to the point of being bald on the outside edges of front tires.) Problem has been evident since new. It has had tires replaced, been aligned by multiple dealers and had tires road force balanced, however nothing has improved. Vehicle does not feel secure at highway speeds, and tire wear dangerously impedes traction.

On April 4, 2024 while driving southbound on I-95 in Connecticut between exit 3 and 2 in Greenwich, all of the dashboard warning indicators lit up, and the brakes failed. I was able to slow to a stop avoiding hitting other vehicles, and moved to the shoulder. I turned the vehicle on and off several times, but couldn’t get the lights to go off. The car was towed to the dealership. This is not the first incident with this vehicle, prior incidents related to electrical issues with heated seats, faulty electrical equipment in the screens, and a rain leak through the microphone in the roof. The vehicle is unsafe to drive. I have children, and I now fear for their safety in this car.

Vehicle has alignment issues and ruining tires in 2000 miles. Problem started at around 25,000 miles and now at 32,000 miles. and has been at the dealer for over 2 months waiting on wagoneer engineering to figure it out. 2 dealers and Wagoneer blame the issue on the tires and not addressing the issue and saying alignment is fine yet the print out shows red indicating out of alignment, independent has confirmed there is a problem with the alignment. Vehicle has also developed a shake/vibration while driving and is making it hard to drive causing fatigue. I replaced the tires at a dealer and after 2000 miles they are ruined and they are not standing behind the warranty they stated.

The 2022 Wagoneer (first model of vehicle) we own has had SEVERAL issues dating back to purchase in 04/2022. The original battery died in 08/2022 when the car had ~3000 miles. The electrical system was to blame in draining the battery dealer said. dashboard lit up and shut on and off. The dealership ‘repaired’ with new battery. Other various issues with seats and electrical malfunctions have taken place both before/after that. But last night, about 20-30 minutes into a drive, the check engine and battery lights came on. A couple mins later, the AC and volume didn’t work and then the dash lit up with over 10 buttons. At this point, I was attempting to pull over, but I was on a busy road with no where to go. A couple minutes later, the dash starting flashing on and off. At this point, the steering wheel locked up, the brakes no longer worked and the whole car dash and video screen was dark. I was going 65mph at the time with by 12 year old son and 10 year old daughter. I could not move the wheel and had no brakes as we were entering bend in road and semi truck coming at us. I had to make a decision to either run car off road into a field or house or try to jerk wheel. It took all my strength to turn wheel and avoid the semi truck. We escaped a major wreck or death by a matter of inches. Worrisome and scary to say the least. Fortunately after that turn, the road straightened out and I drove until car ran out of speed. Once it stopped (thankfully there were no people or stopped cars or traffic lights when we didn’t have brakes or steering), the car went into park. Flashers didn’t work. This is a reoccurring problem on my car and we have friends who also had a 2022 Wagoneer and the exact same thing happened to them and they avoided disaster too. There is obviously a problem and I cannot drive that car ever again and cannot put my kids back in that car. Also, it took 4 hours for a tow truck to arrive as Jeep didn’t seem to help much. We narrowly escaped death.

On two occasions, the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Series II completely shut down and locked up while driving at speed. The steering wheel locked, the brakes wouldn't work and the engine and all electrical components went offline. In both cases, the vehicle was uncontrollable as it grinded eventually to a stop. The first occasion put us in a ditch. The second occasion nearly hit a construction worker. Children were onboard both times. After the first incident, we were able to get the vehicle to start again after a couple of hours. With all warning lights on we drive it slowly back to the dealership. They were unable to reproduce the problem and said that it needed a lot of software updates which they performed. Four months later it happened again. This time it could not be started and it was towed to the dealership who also has not been able to get it to come online. Less concerning from a safety standpoint is that it occasionally won't wake up after being parked. Sometimes opening the hood and slamming it shut gets it to wake up.

At two thousand miles the power steering went dead. Limped it home as I was told it would be difficult to drive but not unmanageable. Once I drove 35 miles home the dealership said bring it in and we can get you a loaner. On driving to the dealership the power steering turned on for half a second. Luckily wasn’t applying a ton of force to turn the wheel and it just made me swerve half way in the ditch. Had I been going fast we would of been upside down in the ditch or worse.
