while driving, with the audio system off, suddenly I heard a loud explosion. next I heard what sounded like class breaking. I thought i was involved in an accident and slammed on my brakes. Realizing I was ok, the next thought that came to mind was that someone shot at me. The crackling sounds ( like glass breaking did not stop). i drive directly to a ford dealership. they heard and acknowledged the cracking sound. i turned off the truck and the sound CONTINUED.

The dealer advised the contact to drive the vehicle until the check engine warning light illuminates to diagnose the vehicle. The contact stated that the following week, the failure recurred while making a left turn into the gas station. The vehicle experienced unintended acceleration at 42 MPH, and the brakes failed to stop the vehicle immediately. The "Sudden Acceleration, Sudden Braking" message was displayed. The vehicle was not deemed totaled by the insurance company. I need to address a safety concern! On 3/13, I was driving back home. my 3 year old daughter was sitting in her car seat (behind the driver seat). She pulled the seatbelt from the middle seat and wrapped it around her neck choking herself. I had just got home and thank god I did because this would have been a totally different story. I pulled up to my mailbox to get my mail. I happen to look back and saw she was purple on the verge of blue. I had no scissors in my car to cut the belt. I drove up my long driveway ran into the house came out with scissors and cut the belt as it was locked and there is no emergency unlock button. Her neck was very red and has broken blood vessels. I have pictures to prove this! No where on the belts does it say “choking hazard” I thought seatbelts were supposed to SAVE LIVES! My seatbelt can be replaced however, my daughter life cannot! Thankfully, is ok!! I called a ford dealer to get the belt fixed. Was told it was $1,000!!!!!

On Dec 27, 2022 I was involved in a collision where my F150 would not come to a complete stop at an intersection /red light. I approached the vehicles at the light breaking to slow down but the truck drive gear did not disengage, and I struck the vehicle in front of me at about 2-3mph and then proceeded to push the vehicle into the car in front of them all while I was fully applying the break (foot of the gas pedal). It was not until I put the truck in neutral and turned it off that it stopped pushing the other vehicles. I did not receive any warnings or notification lights on my truck prior or during the impact/pushing. It as if the F150 didn't see the vehicle in front of it and the auto drive system engaged as if it had a mind of its own. I have spoken to Ford Corp regarding the issue and they have advised me to have the vehicle inspected but my local Ford dealers are refusing to run a diagnosis on the vehicle prior to having it repaired thus causing an impasse all while I'm very nervous driving this truck out of fear of it happening again. 01/09/2023-Manufacturer Safety recall issued NHTSA #22V842 Recall #22S71 WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR REPLACEMENT Status: Remedy Available

Stereo/Infotainment system loud bang followed by increasingly loud static through the speakers. Occured 20 or so seconds after starting the truck and driving down the road. Happened around 2800 miles and has only happened once. Initial bang was startling and the static noise was distracting which could have caused an accident. Volume button non functional. Stopping and shutting vehicle completely off and on momentarily did nothing. After letting the truck sit off and locked for 5min+ the sound finally stopped and everything returned to normal. There was a distinct burning smell left in the truck for the rest of the day. Ears were left ringing for a couple hours after. Possible ear damage from this. Luckily there wasn't anyone else in the vehicle that could have suffered from ear damage. Dealer is aware of the issue but hasn't looked at the truck as duplicating the issue is near impossible. No warning lamps or anything visually different from normal. I have video of the static noises.

I was driving and all the sudden an insanely loud sharp BEEP noise started and would not stop. It was coming from the speakers. I could not get it to stop. It was so loud I have lost hearing in my left ear. I had to exit the truck and disconnect the battery. Others are having this issue and Ford has no recall.

There are two things that have been happening, and are widely prevalent on different online forums as well. 1) While the vehicle is on the stereo will end up going into a loud max volume crackling and popping and won't shut off even when the truck is turned off. This has already caused an accident. Please see attached forums: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/dangerous-b-o-sound-system-issue.9254/ https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/gremlins-ii-crackling-static.93548/ https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/extremely-loud-electrical-pop-followed-by-loud-static.9591/ https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/my-ears-are-hurting-b-o-sound-system-goes-crazy-safety-issue.91946/ 2) Headlight DRL on Ford Raptor flickers while driving and is clearly a violation of NHTSA safety guidelines.

When applying brakes, the response time in incredibly slow. Sometimes when the brake is applied half way down, the truck tends to skid on the road.
