The vehicle is only a 2022 and has a jerky acceleration during non-highway driving with RPMs fluctuating. The tire, cruise control and seatbelt indicator lights are illuminated with no resolvable issue (the dealer clears them out and they come back). There’s an audible muffler rattle that has been present for a long time that the dealer says is normal. When I fuel up the engine audible bogs down. On a recent road trip to New York the vehicle vapor locked at a gas station and had to be jumped. The vehicle has been nothing but recalls and issues

All my husband purchases is mainly Fords and he has for over 20 years. The last 3 Fords we have purchases from years 2019-2025 have had the same issues. My husband had a 2019 Ford Escape that broke down on us in the mountains. Had to have transmission replaced twice before 100,000 miles. Then he got a 2020 escape and same thing plus a motor replaced..now I have a 2022 bronco sport outer banks and they claim I need transmission replaced and rear end differential. I was quoted $15,000. That is almost as much as my car is worth. I am outside the "warranty" window. The dealership was rude about it because we didnt purchase our Ford with them directly stating they are loyal to their customers who purchase with them first. We have been loyal to ford for so long and now losing faith! I can in no way possible afford that much money! I bought it because I thought it was the safe option for my daughter and for me taking her to school. This car is not safe to drive at all! I had to drive it home from dealership because I cant afford to fix it and now I am without. How am I suppose to drive my kid to school in something that is shaking and grinding like that? This is not the first ford we have had to do it but we remain loyal!

It was Memorial Day and I was picking my bicycle up from my brother’s house. As I turned out onto the main road, my car stalled. Battery light on, auto start/stop blinking and car rattling. The car also gave me a note on the dash saying it needed to be in park. Took it to the dealer and they told me that a new transmission was required but haven’t been willing or able to give me the finer details of what is wrong with the transmission until they disassemble it. They wanted to make me pay $5 just for that and that is way out of budget for me. I come to find out recently that Ford is in the news again. This time for faulty transmissions and they seemed to care less to help me out financially. They know these transmissions are bad. I know that my car is not tied to the recall regarding transmissions in the 2018-21 Navigators, Expeditions or Explorers, but the dealer gave me an error code of P07E4 which sounds VERY SIMILAR to this issue with these 2018-21 cars referenced earlier. I feel lucky that i wasn’t on the highway or anything when this happened.

I am filing this complaint to report an unreasonable and hazardous delay by Ford Motor Company regarding safety recall 25S76 (NHTSA 25V467) for my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport (VIN: [XXX]). This recall involves a severe fire hazard where a cracked fuel injector can leak liquid fuel and vapor onto hot engine components, presenting an immediate risk of an under-hood fire and occupant injury. This recall has now been active for nearly a year, yet Ford’s official status for my vehicle remains "Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available." Sourcing a permanent physical repair has been excessively delayed. Because this defect is an ongoing, inherited engineering issue from previous failed recall remedies on this same engine family, I am being forced to drive a vehicle with a known, unaddressed fire risk due to the manufacturer's failure to supply parts in a reasonable timeframe. I request that NHTSA expedite its oversight of Ford's parts manufacturing and distribution timeline for this specific remedy. This recall has been active for a year with Ford saying they have been unable to find a remedy but at the same time saying there is a risk of fuel pooling on the engine, possibly causing a fire and causing injury, I’m assuming to me the driver or my passengers. This is my commuter vehicle upon which I am making payments to Ford Credit. I can’t afford to park it until they come up with a way to fix this if it’s already taken a year since the recall was issued. And I bought this vehicle new in 2023. So already how long have I been tempting fate? Are they going to be able to fix this soon or not? Does a year qualify as “timely”?

Ford has done nothing to repair this recall. I was a vehicle defect investigator for a major Insurance Company during the ignition switch and cruise control deactivation switch. I saw fires in garages, business and carport that put peoples lives in danger. This is the same type of danger and needs to be corrected immediately. Fuel system issues. Current recall has been since July of 2025 with NO FIX AVAILABLE. Engine light has been on and off for two months now with mobile app giving warning but there is no way to fix the issue as of now, and not since the Recall was issued almost a year ago. Bronco has not started up again on multiple occasions after getting fuel. Also has a very strong smell of fuel vapor/fuel at every deceleration or stop making it hard to breathe inside vehicle, as well hurting our chest and head to inhale inside the cabin of vehicle. Bronco is beginning to cut out while driving and/or when coming to a stop. We have a small child and are in fear of a serious malfunction or fire, and are concerned of the fumes we are constantly ingesting while driving vehicle. That on top of the risk of car cutting out at a bad time or catching on fire while driving is causing us to want to trade it in/get rid of it but we need a vehicle to get back and forth to work and get our child to school. We need something done to get a different vehicle that’s safe for our family/child. I am a disabled veteran that feels helpless with my wife and child using this vehicle every day. I’m scared for their safety more than anything else.

The vehicle is experiencing powertrain performance issues, including a persistent stutter, vehicle shuddering, and erratic RPM jumping while driving at 45-55 mph. These symptoms began immediately following the latest software flash in January 2026 and have progressively gotten worse. An Independent mechanic and a transmission specialist have inspected the vehicle and are unable to resolve the issue because no diagnostic trouble codes are being generated. There is a safety and engineering concern that the continuous reprogramming of the PCM & BCM has altered the vehicle’s operations outside of its initial factory design parameters. The vehicle has suffered an immediate drop in performance and fuel economy. In June 2026, I received another notification about Recall 25S76, not being completed yet by Sam Leman Ford. After several attempts to reach someone, I called an authorized secondary Ford dealership, Heller in Bloomington, who pulled the VIN data and stated they could not verify if the 25S76 recall was properly completed by the original servicing dealer. It seems as if there is a tracking failure on the manufacturer's side. While she stated there were notes by a service tech for mobile repair, the fact that I got another notification about the same recall’s intermediate repair not being completed, that signified to her it may not have been. Heller Ford stated the only way to know, is to attempt a 4th PCM reprogramming. If the manufacturer rejects the warranty reimbursement, the cost of the diagnostic labor hours will be billed to me. Consumers should not be held financially responsible for verifying faulty manufacturer documentation, nor should software patches be used as a substitute for replacing a physically defective, fire-prone component. By allowing the manufacturer to alter the vehicle's electrical and powertrain architecture rather than mandating a hardware replacement, consumers are left driving vehicles with degraded performance and an active hazards.

Vehicle: 2022 Ford Bronco Sport I am submitting this complaint due to an ongoing and potentially dangerous issue involving my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport shutting off unexpectedly while in operation. The vehicle intermittently displays messages instructing the driver to “Shift to Park” and/or “Restart Engine” while the vehicle is being actively operated. On multiple occasions, the engine has shut down unexpectedly during normal driving conditions, creating a serious safety concern. The issue appears to occur unpredictably and has continued despite normal vehicle maintenance. The problem has occurred while driving and also during stop-and-go traffic conditions. When the malfunction happens, the vehicle loses normal operation and requires the driver to place the vehicle in PARK and restart the engine in order to continue driving. This creates a dangerous situation, especially in intersections, traffic, or active roadways, due to the sudden loss of power and interruption of vehicle operation. Symptoms observed include: * Unexpected engine shutdown * Dashboard warning messages instructing to shift to PARK and restart engine * Intermittent electrical/system irregularities * Vehicle failing to continue normal operation Vehicle VIN: [XXX] Additionally, this vehicle has been taken to the dealership for diagnosis and repair related to this issue on multiple occasions. On at least two separate instances, the vehicle remained out of service for more than 40 days, leaving me without reliable transportation for extended periods of time. Despite repeated repair attempts and extended time at the dealership, the issue continues to occur intermittently. This ongoing failure raises serious concerns regarding the safety, reliability, and dependability of the vehicle. I am including the VIN so the vehicle’s repair history, service records, and any related technical service bulletins, recalls, or manufacturer communications can be properly reviewed as part of this complaint. Check engine light turned on. Dealership inspected it and advised me there was a PO456 error code. My understanding is that a P0456 code on a 2022 Ford Bronco indicates a very small leak in the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system, which prevents fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. The most common cause is a faulty canister purge valve. The dealership advised me that this issue was not converted under warranty or covered by Ford, so it would be out of pocket to the owner. However, I am formally submitting a complaint to investigate if this issues is related to the open recall that Ford doesn’t have a fix for yet; Manufacturer Recall Number25S76 NHTSA Recall Number25V467. If the faulty canister purge valve was caused by the reasons for the recall, the issues may be directly related.

After coming to a complete stop at a stop light, my engine began to shudder and then stalled out. I received a message on the dashboard to shift to P and restart my engine. After shifting to P I was able to start my engine. When shifting to R my engine acted normally. When shifting to N my engine acted normally. When shifting to D my engine began to shudder and stalled a second time. After waiting for a light cycle I attempted to restart my engine and shift to drive a third time and my engine stalled when shifting to D. I required a tow truck to take my vehicle to my dealership. While waiting on the tow truck I had to shift the car to neutral and push the car onto the shoulder from the center lane where my car stopped working. My dealership was able to replicate the issue and informed me my torque converter had failed.

This 2022 Bronco Sport Outer Banks lost it's alternator pulley and that caused the serpentine belt to break. Since the vehicle could not be driven it was towed to Joe Myers Ford in Houston, TX. The dealer wanted a extremely expensive price, $1800.00, to replace the alternator and belt. The vehicle was offered to the dealer for trade to determine value and see if it was possible to upgrade to a newer vehicle. The dealer's sales person said that the vehicle was appraised at only $5000.00. That ended discussion and the vehicle was then moved to a private auto parts parking lot where a mobile technician repaired it. It was then taken to two other authorized Ford dealers and offered for trade. Each dealer only offered the same amount...$5000.00. One dealer even said "We don't really want this vehicle. I even found out that they are not even allowed to resell it with this recall in place. They have basically caused it become worthless. You should take it to a used car dealer for appraisal. This caused me to start wondering 'what' may be wrong with this vehicle to case a 2022 year model to be valued so low. The VIN number then got run through NHTSA and voila! Now we know why Ford doesn't want anything to do with it. The Ford Recall #25S76 and NHTSA Recall #25V467 clearly explain that the vehicle can catch on fire and cause personal injury. None of the 3 Ford dealers ever mentioned this Dangerous Recall. I never received any notice in the US Mail, an email, phone call or any form of notification about this vehicle being a fire danger. All my info is on file with Ford and it's all been usable since the purchase date. NO Notice was ever received and children had even been driven around many times. How DARE FORD for putting mine and other family's children in danger!!!!! And there still isn't a Remedy for the problem. Ford needs to buy back this vehicle and send it to the Salvage Yard!

I have this safety recall on my car. I have called the local dealership many times and they keep saying that they do not have the parts to fix it. This is unacceptable as it is a major safety recall. I got an oil change this weekend and they indicated that something under the hood shows burned marks. Additionally, I am overdue for my state inspection- but I cannot get it done with the light on my car being on due to the recall and I’m not paying to replace it out of pocket as I cannot afford that big financial strain.

I need to open a safety case for my vehicle. I am concerned with my vehicle. Car was having trouble starting on 4/16/2026 while parked at home giving a "full accessory power active" error. I called Ford and I was told it could be a battery issue. Triple A was called and help was dispatched. The Triple A representative did not jump start the battery and instead gave directions to power up the car back up with no electrical current necessary. Car started after trouble shooting it and it was tested through the night just like Triple A directed. The following day on 4/17/26 the car had no issue starting and all was normal. While testing the vehicle it started to produce a strong burning rubbery smell. I opened the hood and there was a leaking sound followed by a light smoke and leakage near the battery. A video was taken if needed. The smell was extremelly strong and I am reporting this safety concern as the VIN associated with the vehicle currently has an unrepaired recall with no available remedy yet by FORD - 25V467. The safety risk associated with this recall number is fire under hood due to possible injector crack that could lead to fuel accumulating on top of the engine. I want this issue recorded as I am concerned with the safety of my family.

I have brought the car in both to Marin Ford and Serramonte Ford for a transmission fluid leak. They have confirmed there is transmission fluid pooling under the hood but are either unable or unwilling to repair the source of the leak. Car is still under warranty - hoping they are not waiting for the warranty to expire and for my the car to start failing. The brakes also make a loud whining noise while driving in reverse on my 2022 Bronco Sport. The people at Serramonte Ford in Colma, CA tell me this is standard for Ford Broncos and Escape and there is not a fix. It sounds like a whale call and hard to believe the issue can't be resolved. I have read other complaints saying the saying the same thing and Ford charging 1k once out of warranty to replace pads, etc.
