I had NHTSA recall for this generator done (23E-030) which was to solve the same problem I just had. Apparently, they just moved to a smaller diameter fuel line to fit the fuel pump better. However, this hose also came off my Cummins generator fuel pump and was spewing gas all over the generator and the ground when we ran it. This is a very unsafe condition and I'm surprised, after the recall was performed by a certified Cummins dealer (verified by Cummins) that this "new" fuel line has also come off the fuel pump.

While driving, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of motive power without warning. The driver coasted off the road into a swale and required a tow to an authorized RAM dealer, December 9 2025 to CDJR of Tampa Bay, Tampa FL. The dealer initially indicated the failure was covered under Recall 44A, then changed their position and characterized it as a powertrain warranty repair. Following that repair the vehicle was returned immediately in January 2026 when it would not engage reverse. In May 2026 the vehicle experienced a CV joint failure at 20,411 miles — approximately 1,000 miles after the January repair. The RAM ProMaster 3500 is front wheel drive and CV joints connect directly to the transmission. The recurring failures following the repair present a serious safety concern. The December repair receipt is 10 pages and January is 5 the unit is currently at an authorized mopar shop. Please let us know if you require those receipts.

12/2020 First the TPS sensor failed at 1,000 miles and almost caused an accident. Would not go over 25mph, was shifting hard, and the service engine light was on. Verified and replaced at dealership. Second, the rear view camera stopped working while backing up and almost caused an accident - no back windows - major safety issue. Replaced by me as they have no replacement for it even though its under recall. No warnings. Third, the transmission was shifting hard and fell out while I was driving on the freeway at 55,000. Damaged transmission and crankshaft and joints. Verified and replaced at dealership. No warnings, no lights Fourth, the transmission bolt was found loose, hard shifts, and has an internal breakdown at 71,000 miles. Verified first by independent shop - they tightened the bolt for me and is now sitting at the dealership waiting on another transmission that has been verified and approved under warranty. No warnings, no lights

I have had ongoing issues with the backup camera not related to current recall 25v-552. The image on the dash screen would flip between upside down and right side up. It still the flipped image after being “fixed”. After the dealership “fixed” that problem, it would flip and reverse the image. That was subsequently “fixed” by replacing the dash monitor. However, the poor picture quality during both day and night makes the camera unsafe to use. During the day the image may be completely or partially whited out with glare. At night there are lines and distortion across the screen. In. Addition, the new unit does not monitor van diagnostic information which could impact safety. The van is currently back in shop for another attempt to fix camera system.

My 2021 Ram ProMaster 2500 has two open safety recalls with no remedy available: NHTSA Recall 25V-552 (rearview camera FMVSS 111 compliance issue) issued August 26, 2025 NHTSA Recall 25V-720 (cooling fan fire risk) issued October 23, 2025 As of April 2026, no remedy has been provided for either recall. The vehicle is used commercially for rental income, and the lack of a repair has caused financial loss of approximately $500–$1,000 per month. One of the recalls involves a potential vehicle fire risk. The prolonged delay without a remedy is concerning for both safety and financial reasons.

The backup camera failed and the screen is black with an error message. In a large cargo van it becomes nearly impossible to see behind you. The problem was reported to the RAM dealer in Broomfield, they inspected the camera and agreed it needed to be replaced. This issue had been going on for a full year at least.

On [XXX], while driving my 2021 Ram ProMaster 2500 at highway speed in Florida, the van suddenly lost all power and came to a near stop, then re-engaged. Vehicles were in front and behind me, creating an immediate risk of serious collision, injury, or death. I pulled over ~30 minutes, restarted, but it could not exceed 20 mph while RPMs were high. AutoZone confirmed limp mode and advised a dealer. I drove it home to Port Charlotte, then had it towed to Gettel Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, Punta Gorda, FL, where after two weeks it was diagnosed with a failed transmission requiring replacement. The transmission can be inspected at the dealership. No warning lamps appeared before failure. Problem confirmed by AutoZone and the dealer. I contacted Stellantis (Case #[XXXX], contact Regina Knox; dealership contact Noel), but repair assistance was denied. The van also has two active recalls, including risk of rolling out of park, unremedied. This transmission failure constitutes a serious and imminent safety defect, creating a hazard to myself and the public. I request NHTSA investigate this defect, compel Stellantis to repair it at their cost, and consider any further regulatory action necessary to prevent injury or death. The contact owned a 2021 Ram Promaster 1500. The contact had stopped at a house that the contact worked on and parked the vehicle on the side of the house. The contact turned off the engine and entered the house, and after twenty minutes, when the contact stepped outside, the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The flames spread to the house and caused damage to the property. Some of the paint melted; the garage door, driveway, side door, and some of the landscape were damaged. The fire department was called and extinguished the fire. No police report was filed. The contact was informed by the fire department that the fire started due to a mechanical issue in the engine area. Afterwards, the contact was informed by the fire department that the investigation into the origin of the fire was inconclusive. The insurance company was notified and towed the vehicle to an unknown location. The insurance company declared the vehicle a total loss. The manufacturer was notified of the fire. The manufacturer advised the contact that a field inspector would be sent to inspect the vehicle. The field inspector had inspected the vehicle. The contact received an email from the manufacturer stating that the damage was not their responsibility and the claim had been closed. The contact stated that two weeks prior to the fire, a message saying "rear camera not available" was displayed, and an unknown warning code was illuminated on the instrument panel. Upon further investigation, the contact discovered that NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V552000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION) was associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000.

I purchased the vehicle above used on 4/22/2024 with roughly 70,000 miles on it. At 121,000 miles I lost the reverse gear in the transmission and the vehicle displayed 2 code P0736 and P0792. I call my local Chrysler dealership and inform him of the situation, and the service manage advise me of a recall 44A / NHTSA 23V-301 and asks for the VIN. He tells me that the recall has been completed on the vehicle and the cost to fix (replace the transmission) the vehicle will cost me about $4,000.00. I read the recall notice, and it states the vehicle effected had roughly 133,000 miles. The recall must have been closed by the previous owner but that does not change the fact that the manufactures initial repair did not cure the problem being that my vehicle had the catastrophic failure close to when the manufacture stated the problem in the recall. There are many owners of the same vehicle out there that will attest to the transmission failure on these vehicles. I would hope your department will take a serious look into this matter and hold the manufacture accountable and reimburse the cost of the repairs to the owners.

Recall Remedy Failure NHTSA Recall Numbers: 25V-720 (67C) & 25V-552 (59C) I am reporting a failure by FCA US LLC to provide a timely remedy for Recall 25V-720. As of Jan 2026, the remedy remains "under development" since Oct 2025. Specific Safety Concerns for RV Owners: My vehicle is a 2022 Thor Tellaro motorhome. The admitted "Risk of Vehicle Fire" is critical because the vehicle contains propane and lithium/AGM battery systems. Despite the Part 573 report on the NHTSA server listing a "Do Not Drive. Park Outside" advisory, the manufacturer has failed to check these boxes on the consumer-facing summary and has broken links ("File Not Found") for the 67C technical documents on their owner portal. This lack of transparency and the 90+ day delay for a fire-risk remedy has rendered my vehicle unusable. I request that NHTSA investigate why these safety advisories are being obscured from consumers and force the manufacturer to provide a buy-back or immediate repair.

The 2021 Ram ProMaster 2500 I purchased from a dealer on 12/6/25 now has a serious safety defect. The transmission began grinding when shifting into Drive on 1/27/26. Immediately after, the vehicle started rolling backwards while fully in Park with the engine running. This indicates a failure of the parking pawl or internal gearset. The backup camera also does not function, there are coolant and power steering leaks, and the axle/wheel bearing is failing. The dealer claimed the van passed a “120-point inspection,” but it is clearly unsafe and unfit for operation. This defect poses a risk of rollaway injury, crash, and property damage.

The rearview camera intermittently fails when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. The image flickers, becomes distorted, upside down, or goes completely blank. This is a known issue covered under Recall #59C, but the dealer stated there is currently no available remedy. The failure makes backing up unsafe and unpredictable.

The vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of steering control during normal driving on a public roadway. The steering wheel became extremely difficult to turn, and the vehicle became immobilized, creating a serious risk of collision and injury. The vehicle was towed to an authorized RAM dealership, where inspection confirmed a broken serpentine belt, abnormal alternator noise, and metal contamination throughout the entire power steering system. The dealer advised that the entire power steering system requires replacement. The presence of metal debris in a critical steering system indicates a pre-existing mechanical defect that could not reasonably develop within 27 days of normal use. No warning lights or messages appeared prior to the failure. At the time of sale, the vehicle was also subject to unresolved safety recall(s). The selling dealer refuses to rescind the sale or provide a refund.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2021 Ram Promaster 3500 verdict →
