The centre console screen has completely failed and has gone black. Yes, the screen is available for inspection upon request. The screen houses access to most safety systems in the car, including the reverse camera, front camera, collision avoidance system settings, lane safety settings, blind spot monitoring settings etc. Lack of access to these systems makes driving the car less safe Yes, the problem has been reproduced by a Genesis dealer The dealer had the car for over 2 weeks but was unable to find any fault codes. They were unable to diagnose the root cause of the issue, and no fix was suggested The screen used to flicker once in a while before going blank. It did this for a few months, but always came back on. Since Dec 2025, the screen has gone blank permanently

My 2021 Genesis G90 has experienced repeated failures of the main infotainment / viewing display system, which has been replaced multiple times by authorized Genesis dealers. Despite these repairs, the defect continues to recur. On December 19, 2025, while the main display was nonfunctional, I was involved in a rear-end collision while proceeding from a stop at a traffic light. During this event, the vehicle did not provide any forward collision warning and did not engage autonomous emergency braking, despite the presence of a vehicle directly in front of me. I am concerned that failure of the main display system or its associated control modules disables, suppresses, or prevents proper operation or driver notification of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Autonomous Emergency Braking. Due to the display failure, no visual warnings or system status messages could be seen, and there was no indication that collision-avoidance systems were disabled or degraded. The absence of both warnings and braking intervention raises serious concerns regarding system integration, fault handling, and fail-safe design. This vehicle has undergone multiple unsuccessful repair attempts for the same defect and is currently subject to a formal warranty demand under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. This complaint is submitted to request investigation into whether recurring display failures in the 2021 Genesis G90 can impair ADAS functionality or driver awareness, creating an unreasonable safety risk.

Driving on interstate at 70mph while it was raining. Signaled and changed lanes. Steering wheel started jerking left and right and the power steering light flickered on and off. The steering wheel stopped jerking and the power steering light remained on. I no longer had power steering and car was difficult to control. The emergency braking assist light came on as well. Was able to get off the interstate. Turned the car off and on. Power steering light remained on. Turned car off. Waited 5 minutes. Turned car on. Power steering light was off but the power steering still did not work. I slowly and carefully drove home, which was nearby. About 2 miles into the drive, power steering returned. It felt like it partially returned at first and then fully returned after several minutes.

The vehicle started smoking and stalled out Aug 18,2023. The vehicle starting shaking then I parked it for about two (2) hours. When I tried to crank vehicle again it wouldn’t crank. I attempted to complete diagnostic test but the vehicle wouldn’t remain on. I contacted dealership I purchased it from. They order a tow to be brought in. The dealership repair shop for about 3 weeks didn’t know what happened. The change filters and oil change but it still was stalling.

This is not about a tire failure but rather dangerous mis sizing of tires from factory.I bought the car new. It was never in an accident or had a flat tire and did not have service call until this week at 13000 or so miles.the service included tire rotation and balance, but the service man called and said he wasn’t going to do it because the driver rear tire was the wrong size!!!! It was supposed to be 275/40 R19 101W but was 245/45R19 98W. The two front tires are 245’s as they should be but BOTH rears are supposed to be the 275’s! Clearly this affects handling, wear, stability etc. I’m a very careful driver but someone less careful could roll over on a fast corner turn! How many more Hyundai/ Genesis tires are mis sized? No one checks that when you buy a car!

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2021 Genesis G90 verdict →
