Upon applying the rear brake to stop for an intersection, the ABS light started flashing and the speedometer registered zero, even when moving. The Honda dealership diagnosed a broken speed sensor. India has already recalled this defective part on the same make, model, and year of motorcycle: [XXX] The diagnosed part is Honda part 38510-K0A-EB1, which has a 200+ day lead time with no stock available anywhere in the USA.
