TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, ATTEMPTED TO SLOW DOWN WITH THE FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE RPM'S INCREASED AND THE VEHICLE SPONTANEOUSLY ACCELERATED, STRIKING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON THREE OCCASIONS. THE POLICE WAS PRESENT, BUT NO REPORT WAS FILED. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER HUFFINES CHRYSLER/JEEP (1024 S STEMMONS FWY, LEWISVILLE, TX 75067) THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO REPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 800.
