The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 MPH and after driving over a bump in the road, the vehicle experienced a "Death Wobble" causing the driver to lose control of the steering and crash into a garbage truck. During the crash, the front end of the vehicle was severely damaged but the air bag did not deploy. The driver sustained a head injury and later received medical treatment which revealed multiple strokes had occurred during the crash. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. We started having a death wobble while driving between 60-70mph where the steering wheel shook Violently and the vehicle shook so back it hurt and scared me and my kids in the back seat. It was very scary and almost caused me to wreck with my kids in the car on the interstate. We then looked up and saw there was a recall for this problem. We took the truck into a dealership and got it supposedly repaired. It did not work. Roughly 1 month later. I was trusting Ford fixed the issue and on the interstate again and almost wrecked a second time with the kids in the car. This truck shouldn’t be allowed on the road of ford doesn’t have a fix. My business partner has the exact same truck and the exact same scenario occurred where he got the issue fixed at a dealership after almost crashing only to have it happen again. Currently we don’t know what to do as we paid big bucks for a vehicle that isn’t safe to drive,

I have had in excess of 15 incidents where my truck upon hitting a bump in the road the front right tire began to go into what is referred to as a "death wobble". I took my truck in to have it repaired. The wobble stopped for approximately 2 weeks and then the left tire began doing the same thing. On Dec, 31st driving from Stockton to LA I hit an uneven spot in the highway when I was between a semi truck and a concrete barrier. It caused the semi truck to swing wildly out of control as he swerved to avoid my vehicle as it went into a death wobble sending me withing inches of his cab. My rear finder struck the concrete barrier causing damage to the rear panel. My brother and I could have easily been killed. Ford refuses do do a real on this vehicle and it is risking lives. Additionally my brother in law has the same truck with the same issue. I will never buy a Ford ever again.

I was driving 60 miles an hour and I hit a pot hole and the truck went into a “death wobble”. It started to shake extremely violently that I thought I was going to crash and die. My arms hurt so bad from trying to hold on to the steering wheel for dear life. I managed to come to a complete stop but not before I almost [XXX] my pants from fear. I AM FILING A FORMAL COMPLAINT REGARDING MY 2019 FORD F250. I EXPERIENCED WHAT IS BEING CALLED THE "DEATH WOBBLE" ON A RECENT TRIP WITH MY TRUCK. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 78 MPH , I HIT A RAISED SECTION OF A CULVERT CROSSING WHICH CAUSED MY STEERING TO BECOME UNSTABLE. THE SHAKING OF THE STEERING WHEEL MADE THE VEHICLE HARD TO CONTROL AND CAUSED US TO HIT THE GUARD RAIL AND CABLE BARRIER. I WAS IN THE LEFT LANE, AND THE BARRIER RUNS ABOUT 3 FEET FROM THE ROADWAY. I HAVE DAMAGE TO THE LEFT SIDE OF MY TRUCK.

VEHICLE STARTS TO SHAKE EXCESSIVELY AFTER HITTING MINOR BUMPS IN ROAD WHEN TRAVELING AT ANYTHING EXCESS 25MPH. DEALER REFUSES TO FIX ACTIVE RECALL FOR STEERING DAMPENER BLAMING FEATHERED TIRES WHICH WE BELIEVE ARE A DIRECT RESULT FROM THE EXCESSIVE SHAKING OF STEERING.

WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH ON THE FREEWAY (POSTED SPEED LIMIT 65MPH) PULLING A TRAILER LOADED WITH 3000LBS OF MATERIAL (TRAILER RATED FOR 7000LBS) THAT WAS SECURED WITH 5000LB TOW STRAP I DROVE OVER A ROUGH PATCH OF CONCRETE IN THE RIGHT LANE. TRUCK FELT LIKE IT WAS ALMOST JUMPING TO THE LEFT, STEERING WHEEL SHAKING VIOLENTLY, I COMPLETELY LOST CONTROL. THE TRUCK VEERED LEFT DRASTICALLY AND I CROSSED 3 LANES OF THE FREEWAY AND SLAMMED INTO THE MEDIAN WALL AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH. MORE THAN $15,000 IN DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. IT IS A MIRACLE NO ONE WAS INJURED. *TR

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE FRONT END OF MY TRUCK BEGAN TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE INCLUDING THE STEERING WHEEL! I WAS GOING 65 MPH AND I COULD BARLEY HOLD ONTO THE STEERING WHEEL IT WAS SHAKING SO VIOLENTLY! BOTH OF MY WRISTS ARE SWOLLEN AND BRUISED AS WELL AS MY RIGHT THUMB. MY NAIL ON MY RIGHT THUMB IS CRACKED AND BRUISED AS WELL AS A RESULT OF HOLDING ONTO THE STEERING WHEEL AS HARD AS I COULD. I IMMEDIATELY SLOWED DOWN AS SOON AS I COULD BUT I SWERVED INTO THE OTHER LANE AND THEN INTO A DITCH. I LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO THIS VIOLENT SHAKING. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES TO ME, IT SEEMS TO GET WORSE EACH TIME! THIS TRUCK IS NOT SAFE AND I WANT JUSTICE. THERE WAS ANOTHER VEHICLE COMING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, THE HIGHWAY I WAS ON WAS A TWO LANE HIGHWAY. IF HE WOULD HAVE BEEN 3 SECONDS CLOSER I WOULD HAVE HAD A HEAD ON COLLISION GOING 65 MPH! THE TRUCK SHAKES SO VIOLENTLY AND IT IS TERRIFYING! *TR

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2019 Ford F-250 Supercab verdict →
