about 2 years old, I was with my family driving on the freeway when I felt the car veering to the right going off the road. I tried to correct the steering by pulling it to the left. I was not able to correct this steering as it seemed that the steering wheel was lock. I tried stopping the car from going off the road but the brake pedal was very hard to push. It seemed like the car had lose all power. The car went down the hill off the freeway and hit a huge road sign. I was doing 55 to 60 miles per hour and very mush alert. The car finally came to a stop in the middle of the frontage road. We started to push the car and it was hard to push so I attempted to start the car and to my surprise, it started. So I drove it to a safe place and called the police to make a report and the towing service. The damage on the front end of the was over $3,000. This was the first incident. The second incident happen July 2, 2026.My wife and I were traveling on a road with two lanes. It was about 4:30 PM and traffic medium. Suddenly I felt the steering wheel pulling hard to the left going to the left lane. I immediately turned the steering wheel to the right. I felt the steering wheel was very hard to turn the steering to the right. I pulled off the road to check of any problems. The car never shut off and I was able to drive home. I have driven the car several time since the last incident but I on always wary of the same happening again. I did contact the Chrysler dealer the first this happen and They stated that there had been no one reporting of any similar incident.

Safety Recall 19B/NHTSA 24V-198/SABIC Inflator. Two (2) recall notices have been received (March 2024 and May 2025). A local Chicago area dealership, Tyson Chrysler, advises that replacement parts have not been received for the 2019 model vehicles, but have been received for model years 2020 and 2021. As a result, the potential danger associated with possible rupture of the SABIC Inflator Curtains in my 2019 Chrysler 300S continues to exist, and may lead to catastrophic failure and personal injury as the vehicle repair remains unresolved.

Unknown. The car shut off while driving. Flashing a code put in park and the D on the shifter knob was flashing. Vehicle wouldn't start for about 30 minutes. It was making a loud noise while trying to restart. Then it ran like normal after that. We are not shure but we think the fuel gage and low fuel light are not working properly. We put a few gallons of fuel in it and it started normally with no no loud noise.

Oct 20, 2024Speed control

The cruise system malfunctioned. In multiple scenarios (at least three) when the cruise control was set, if the accelerator is pushed while the cruise control is engaged, the vehicle will continue to accelerate even if the accelerator is released. Disengaging the cruise control via brake usage or by hand on the steering wheel does not stop the unwanted acceleration. The only way to stop the acceleration is to move it from in Drive to Neutral. At that point, an error populates on the dash and the acceleration stops with cruise control disengagement as well. The issue is fixed upon placing the car back in Drive. Unsolicited acceleration puts the driver and others on the road at risk. The issue has not been presented to a dealer or service center for review and has not been inspected by other entities. No dash messages or warnings occurred prior to the failure.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2019 Chrysler 300 verdict →
