SOS malfunction , B18BD11 code, is set off intermittently while driving. A Loud SOS alert distracts driver due to imtermittemt cable short. Defective cable needs replacing.

Could you please make Audi add my car to the recall list? Thank you- Audi has issued a recall for certain models due to a software issue affecting the Emergency Call (SOS) system. This malfunction can prevent the system from establishing an online connection and receiving cell broadcast messages, potentially hindering emergency services. The recall, designated as Service Action 90T2, involves updating the emergency call module control unit and communication unit software. Details of the Recall: Problem: A software configuration issue can lead to the SOS system's inability to establish an online connection and receive cell broadcast messages. Consequences: In rare cases, a permanent failure of the Emergency Call Module Control Unit and Communication Unit may occur, potentially hindering emergency calls. Affected Models: The recall includes various Audi models like A6 Sedan, A7, A8, Q7, Q8, RS6 Avant, RS7, RSQ8, S6 Sedan, S7, S8, A6 Allroad, and SQ7 vehicles. Recall Code: Service Action 90T2. Action Needed: Affected vehicles require a software update for the emergency call module control unit and communication unit. Owner Notification: Audi will notify owners about the recall, with letters expected to be sent out in February 2022. Expiration Date: The recall campaign expires on February 22, 2027.

My husband and son were driving down the road and the sunroof exploded causing glass shards to go everywhere. Temp was 43 degree. According to my husband, it sounded like a bomb went off. Both my husband and son were covered in glass. We had to pull small glass pieces from my son.The vehicle is currently at the dealership. Audi has had know issues/recalls with sunroofs in the last 10 years.
