I have bought this car new in 2018, The issue that I’m having is that ..I’ll be driving on the highway or local my car will brake on its own without any hazards in front of it . It’s very dangerous it almost caused me an accident on the highway .

Due to the bad head gasket and coolant leaking into cylinders, this caused the fuel injectors to clog and fail. All alarms are on. Breaks adaptive cruise control hill assist and all other alarms. Taken in to 2 Honda deals and serval mechanics they cannot figure out what’s wrong with it. About once a month all the alarms will clear while driving and the car sensors will start making the car drive odd. Have to fight the steering wheel to keep it straight and wheels will independently break, thinking it’s sliding but it’s not. Extremely dangerous on snowy road or wet roads.

I started driving this vehicle and all of a sudden it started slowing down, and would not go up to speed. I had it fixed, the car started skipping, making a jerking movement while driving. I made an appointment with Tameron Honda of Birmingham on 3/26/26. As soon as I pulled up to Honda dealership the engine light was on. The company was trying to bill me 6100 dollars for fixing the car. I do not have that amount on hand and I need my car. I had to drive my car away from the dealership while it was in idle mode state into traffic the car moved so slowly that I could have wrecked. I own a 2018 Honda Accord equipped with Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS). The vehicle has experienced multiple instances of false collision warnings and phantom braking. The issue occasionally occurs when approaching overhead interstate signs. In most cases, the system flashes brake warnings briefly and then clears. However, on one occasion during rainy conditions a few years ago, the vehicle unexpectedly applied the brakes at highway speed with no obstacle present. The vehicle has undergone multiple camera calibrations (this may have also included the radar), but the problem persists. This creates a serious safety hazard, particularly at highway speeds where sudden braking could result in a rear-end collision. The issue appears to be related to false object detection by the ADAS system, potentially involving radar or sensor misinterpretation.

Almost all of the 1.5T engines (L15BE) are having head gasket issue where the gasket slowly fails over time resulting in slow coolant loss and at one point sudden overheating causing block and head warping die to design flaw ( groove in between the cylinders resulting in lack of effective and enough surface area for the head gasket to seal the combustion chambers). It has been confirmed by Honda techs and by average 100k to 140k, all engines are failing and the dealers are raking up $ 6k to 9k charge for each change or even having to need new engines half the time. This process of slow leak results in sudden loss of power at highway speeds or acceleration and causing extreme danger of getting hit and having accidents. Took vehicle to mechanic and confirmed coolant leak inside cylinder 4 and 3.

I owned a 2018 Honda Accord,i got it new from the dealership so im the only owner of this vehicle. my headlights keep building condensations prematurely causing them to fail . I have already replaced multple headlights because of this . also when the bulbs go out honda made it where the bulbs can not be replaced at all. these headlights cost close to $1000 each plus 500 in labor to installed. theres should be a recall for this as its costing me soo much money . Major head gasket failure with no warning while pulling out onto a busy road. There is a major design flaw with the head gasket, no recalls or preventative notices from Honda whatsoever! My wife was put into a dangerous situation once the car went to limp mode with no warning while getting onto a busy road. Multiple lights on the dash lit up when the car entered limp mode. The car was immediately towed to a Honda dealership and was diagnosed with a blown head gasket. Service manager stated this is a VERY common occurrence and is indeed a design flaw. Car was fixed with no help from Honda for their faulty design $5100...

The AC system on my 2018 Honda Accord 2.0T stopped blowing cold air due to refrigerant leaks in both the AC condenser and AC evaporator. The condenser is covered under Honda's warranty extension (Service Bulletin 21-018) which acknowledges a manufacturing defect where R-1234yf refrigerant corrodes the condenser tube walls. The dealer confirmed the evaporator is also leaking from the same corrosion defect. The dealer states both must be repaired together because the system cannot hold refrigerant with a leaking evaporator. Honda corporate is refusing to cover the evaporator repair despite it being caused by the same known manufacturing defect. This is a systemic issue affecting 2018-2020 Accords and other Honda models using the same AC components and R-1234yf refrigerant.
