IT CALLED THE DEATH WOBBLE. WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM IOWA ON DECEMBER 3RD. I HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD DOING 70 MPH. THE WHEELS AND STEERING STARTED VIBRATING SO BAD IT BECAME UNCONTROLLABLE. I HIT THE BRAKES AND PULLED OFF THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE. WHILE PULLED OVER A SEMI TRUCK HIT THE REAR OF MY CAMPER TOTALLING IT. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE BACK TO MISSOURI WITH CAMPER. THE DEATH WOBBLE HAPPENED TWICE. AFTER THE SECOND I DROPPED THE SPEED TO 60 AND DID NOT EXPERIENCE THE REST OF THE WAY HOME. THE DEATH WOBBLE IS WELL DOCUMENTED AND ITS A SHAME THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT DOING ANYTHING BECAUSE THE AUTO INDUSTRY IS A POWERFUL INSTITUTION.

DRIVING AT 65 MPH THE TRUCK BEGAN TO WOBBLE UNCONTROLLABLY. I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL STEERING AND WAS TAKEN LEFT ACROSS TWO LANES OF TRAFFIC INTO THE MEDIAN ON A HIGHWAY. THE TRUCK WOBBLES AND SHAKES SO BAD I WAS UNABLE TO REDUCE SPEED VERY QUICKLY.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2018 Ford F-250 Supercab verdict →
