On the morning of July 21st the vehicle was parked in the garage the night before when all of the sudden our neighbors were yelling at my wife and I to exit the house because they saw fire flames and black smoke coming out of the garage. Everything in that garage and part of the house was destroyed. After it was safe to enter the house we noticed the damage was concentrated where the Toyota was parked, the explosion from the engine caused the hood to almost touch the windshield. Half the engine was gone.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2017 Toyota Corolla verdict →
