The contact owns a 2017 Lexus IS200T. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, grinding noises were heard and the front driver side tire would jump. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer test drove the vehicle and diagnosed it with tire scrub. The vehicle was taken to another dealer Lexus of Seattle (20300 Hwy 99, Lynnwood, WA 98036), and diagnosed as tire scrub from suspension and tire friction with the geometry of the vehicle from manufacturing. The contact was informed by the dealer that the grinding noises were normal, and no correction was needed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not provide assistance since the contact had purchased the vehicle from a third party. The failure mileage was approximately 26,000.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2017 Lexus Is200t verdict →
