The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle had stalled while the contact was in traffic, as she attempted to pull off the road, the power steering failed as well. The contact stated she hit the curb and lost control and crashed into a tree with the driver's side front fender and headlight. The vehicle had only slight damage to the headlight and front fender. The contact had suffered no injuries. The contact stated that the check engine light was illuminated. The contact had attempted to restart the vehicle and finally had it towed to her residence. The contact stated a non-certified mechanic had attempted to diagnose the failure and added a fuel system treatment solution to the fuel system. The contact stated that the vehicle finally restarted, however, the vehicle was idling roughly. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred, on a highway. The contact managed to pull off the highway and had the vehicle towed back to her residence. The vehicle had been checked again by the non-certified mechanic who said the failure was with the fuel pump. The vehicle had not been diagnosed by a dealer or certified mechanic and had not been repaired. The contact had researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V731000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

I HAVE TRIED TO GET IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE TO GET MY FUEL PUMP FIXED. I FINALLY DID TODAY. BUT CAN'T GET IN UNTIL NEXTA FRIDAY. MY CAR HAS STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE HAD TO WRECK INTO MAILBOXES STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, AND ALMOST BE HIT BECAUSE MY CAR STOPS WORKING. I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER. MY CAR IS A DANGER
