I had noticed a couple of weeks ago that I would try and start the car and it was struggling to start. Two weeks ago I tried to turn on my car and it would not start. I had to jump start it. I went out to run errands. I tried turning the car on again and it would not start. Once again I had to jump start it. Thinking it was the battery, I took it to O'Reilly's since it was still under warranty. The battery was good. They told me to take the car to run a scan. The scan showed no issues with the car. I googled what was happening to my car and I saw it's a common issue with these cars. Since the time I bought the car, I have already had to replace the battery 4 times which is odd because batteries last about 3 years and they are only lasting 1.5 years. As of today, it has been turning on but I can still hear it struggling to turn on.

The high pressure fuel pump is failing on my 2017 honda accord. There is currently a recall for this issue on the 2017 honda accord v6 models but not mine. I was driving down the highway and my car went into safe mode causing the car to slow/power down and cause traffics issues. All of my warning lights came on alerting me that there was a problem. This affects the safety of others and puts everyone at risk.

Very soon after purchasing this car in June, the check engine light came on. The problem was eventually determined to be with the fuel tank. I was told by the dealership that the tank was leaking fumes. They told me the problem was a known issue with this model. The part had been redesigned but neither the original or redesigned part are available. We have been waiting for several months for a replacement part. I was told that others are waiting as well and there is no information on a date for repair. My son continues to drive the car but we are concerned about the safety of gas fumes leaking out of the car

On October 14, 2023, several lights came on after starting the car up, including the ABS light. This had not happened before. We had just had the car serviced for an oil change 2 weeks prior. We called friend who was a mechanic to see what we should do. Not long after we had reached out, we had a situation where we pulled out of our neighborhood and someone illegally turned in front of us almost hit us head-on. The only reason it didn't occur is because I put on breaks very quickly and stopped our car. We took my car to have to lights assessed today and found out that the lights came on due to the ABS Modulator going bad. We also found out that they do not have the part and that it's on backorder. That it has been this way for a year or so. After talking to the technicians and doing research, this issue with the part has been a problem for Honda Accords 2013-2017 and many question if this should be on recall. I can think of reasons why Honda has not address this issue, but this could be a huge lawsuit if someone were to have this issue and not be able to replace this part, as could be us but we are fortunate that my brakes work last weekend. Please give this some attention and follow up with Honda. This part and replacement is also very expensive, amounting to around $2300 for most who had it done. And it also seems to happen for most people reporting around 85,000 miles. Thank you for reading this and I hope to get some attention to this issue for myself but also for other. I would hate for someone to die and for this to become a huge issue for Honda.

Carplay freezes or disconnects randomly when in use. Will be driving with navigation is frozen so would be driving past destination and cause a distraction trying to fix it. Or it will randomly disconnect when in use and will keep my eyes of road trying to connect it again or hold my phone while navigating. Honda states there is no update to the system to resolve it or anything they can do, directs people to phone company regarding their system. Phone company states they cant do anything about it. Have read multiple forums with others complaining and no solution.

After my car serviced. Four new wheels, alignment, oil change etc..My ABS light, Brake light, Traction control light, and power steering light all started to come on at the same time. I did some research and found out its due to Honda’s faulty ABS module. It cost $2600.00 to repair and its all due to a wire malfunction inside the module.

2017 Honda Accord V6; Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Module went bad and it needs to be replaced but Honda is unable to provide quick fix or a replacement part because it is backordered and they don't know when they'll have it in stock even when I am willing to pay for it upfront. This is causing my car to go out of control on wet roundabouts or when merging from interstate to local roads w/ good Tires condition and within speed limit.

2017 HONDA ACCORD EX-L INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM (RADIO) WHEN USING AM/FM/XM STARTS TO STATIC BADLY AND SLOWLY DRIVES TO FULL CRACKLING/STATIC INTERFERENCE NOISE THROUGH ALL SPEAKERS IN THE SYSTEM. POWER ON AND POWER OFF DO NOT CHANGE SYMPTOMS, ONLY PULL OVER AND POWER CAR ON AND OFF. CANNOT HEAR SURROUNDING VEHICLES WHEN DRIVING, EVEN WITH WINDOWS DOWN. DIFFICULT TO CONCENTRATE AND DRIVE SAFELY WITH THE RADIO A MAXIMUM VOLUME WITH STATIC INTERFERENCE. I CAN SUPPLY NUMEROUS VIDEOS OF ME SCREAMING OVER THE NOISE WHILE A PASSENGER TAKES VIDEO OF THIS INTERFERENCE. PLEASE PROVIDE A METHOD FOR ME TO SUPPLY VIDEO OF THIS ISSUE TO FULLY UNDERSTAND HOW UNSAFE THIS CAN BE TO ANY DRIVER INCLUDING MYSELF. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT OR ENGINE TROUBLE LIGHTS. THE PROBLEM IS REPEATABLE AND MY 45MINUTE DAILY COMMUTE. I HAVE HAD NO ACCIDENTS OR DAMAGE THAT WOULD RESULT IN THIS TYPE OF FAILURE. FAILURE MODE - UNKNOWN.

The audio entertainment system malfunctions and randomly makes extremely loud static noises, squealing, beeping, thumping and bass sounds, from all speakers. These noises can't be controlled or stopped, as they happen even when the audio is turned off. The noises are extremely unpleasant, uncomfortable, and loud enough to cause hearing loss. The noises happen randomly and startle the driver which can lead to accidents. The only way to stop the noises is to turn off the car, requiring the driver to pull over suddenly when the noise becomes unbearable, and often must turn off the car when stopped at red lights which is very dangerous. The dealer confirmed that Honda is aware of this problem, that the only remedy is to completely replace the audio entertainment system, and that the units are on back order and unavailable. There are no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem, it just suddenly occurs. The noise began suddenly about two months ago, and has become increasingly louder and more frequent, to the point of happening every time the vehicle is operated and almost constantly while being operated.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2017 Honda Accord Fhev verdict →
