And it’s occurring with many others of this model and a range of years of these with Honda.

Using the brake pedal did not slow the car, had to put gear selector in B, that slowed the car but did not bring it to a stop. Had to use the emergency brakes to come to a complete stop. This malfunction could cause a crash or could cause injury or death. The brakes failed a second time the tollbooth between Princeton, WV, and Beckley, WV. On [XXX] the car was towed to the Honda dealership in Beckley WV. The dealership worked on the brakes and claimed to have fixed the problem. On [XXX], after one hour of driving, now in Charleston, WV, the brakes failed a third time. The car was turned off and then back on and driven and the brakes failed a fourth time. The car was towed to the Honda dealership in Charleston WV. The dealership was told that the problem occurs after driving the car for an hour or so. The dealership was not willing to drive the car that long to replicate the problem. There is a Honda Service Bulletin [XXX] that pertains to a similar brake problem on this vehicle. The dealership did not appear to be aware of the service bulletin. I have a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid. The Audio System or Radio has now become dangerous. I filed a complaint with American Honda and they said I had to take it to the dealer for diagnostic and that no Recall or Technical Service Bulletin on my car Audio exists. I created a YouTube video to show the problem. I contacted my local Honda Dealer but they want me to pay a Diagnostic fee. It is over $190 to diagnose the Audio system and no guarantee to fix. Replacement is estimated to be around $2,000. American Honda Customer Service should waive the diagnosis fee or reimburse me for any such independent dealer diagnosis fee. I am asking for a free replacement of my Audio System despite the warranty being expired because the Deafening and Piercing Sounds are a HAZARD and danger to drivers like myself. There is terrible and Very Loud and Piercing Static coming from the Audio system and speakers even when the Audio system is turned Off on the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid. It's intermittent but happens very often and lasts a long time. Many forums also describe similar problems across Hondas and years. Please recall or service bulletin this problem. Currently own a 2017 Honda Accord Sport just over 100k miles, regularly maintained and serviced. All of a sudden my vehicle takes longer to start and the most shocking issue is that I was driving to work as normal and when I went to accelerate onto the interstate my vehicle suddenly started jerking and it seemed as though my vehicle was not getting fuel even though I was pressing the accelerator. I had to get off the interstate as I was almost hit by other vehicles merging onto the interstate. It is very frustrating that other trims of Accords are included in the recall except this model. This recall needs to be revised to reflect all models for all owners. I literally almost lost my life due to this.

Around [XXX] on [XXX], I was driving my 2017 Honda Accord LX on [XXX] East in northwestern New Jersey. The first signs of trouble were multiple warning lights (Check Engine and many others) appearing suddenly on the dashboard. There was a total loss of engine power and the tachometer dial dropped abruptly to zero. As I applied the brakes to slow down and move onto the shoulder of the highway, I realized that I also had no power brakes or steering. When the car was nearly stopped on the shoulder, I saw smoke filling the cabin and flames coming from under the engine hood toward the windshield. We quickly exited the car and called 911. The State Police and Fire Department arrived on the scene within 10 minutes but by that time the fire had spread to the interior cabin. Codes are not specific and a bunch of other components need to be tested/replaced before realizing the actual main issue causing the owner spend a ridiculous amount of money and time. Only dissappear if ABS module is replaced which is hard to find(up to two years of wait) unless bought used which also comes with the same risk of failing prematurely. This problem messes up with the vehicle traction in raw weather conditions, as well as braking, steering, and overall safety of the occupants.

The mechanic determined that the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired at the contact's expense. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist because the VIN was not included in the recall.
