On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, my wife was parking her car in the parking lot of a TJ Maxx, 4220 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. As she turned right into the parking space, at a very low rate of speed, 1-2 mph, the engine revved and launched her into another parked vehicle. Once the engine revved and launched she had both feet on the brake pedal. It did light damage to the vehicle she hit and moderate damage to her 2016 Honda Accord Coupe. The impact was hard enough to deploy the driver side airbag. No one was in the other vehicle and she did not sustain serious injury. The car was towed to a body shop. The other vehicle was drivable and insurances were exchanged.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2016 Honda Accord verdict →
