TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 LEXUS GS 450 HYBRID. ON FEBRUARY 16, 2018, WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE RESTARTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE "STEERING HYBRID SYSTEM DISENGAGED, PLEASE CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM" WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LEXUS OF MANHATTAN (627 11TH AVE, NEW YORK, NY 10036 (877) 364-2795) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT WIRES HAD BEEN EATEN BY RODENTS AND THAT THE WIRING TO THE HYBRID SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,344.
