The car suddenly lurched to the left as though the steering mechanism had a mind of its own. The vehicle was traveling 25 to 30 mph, not far from her house. This occurred on a trip to the dentist. Luckily, no one was in the opposing lane of traffic and we were able to bring the vehicle to a stop without smashing into anything. This happened without warning. In fact, we had just had the car inspected for a trip check, and our mechanic pronounced it in perfect shape. No dashboard warnings gave any indication of a problem. A call to a Honda dealer's service center was not returned.

I was traveling on Interstate 84 in Ny state at a rate of approximately 65mph when the vehicle suddenly to a sharp turn to the left into the passing lane and then immediately auto corrected with a sharp right turn and took a few long seconds to stabilize. The only thing that prevented this from being a catastrophe was the fact that there was no vehicle in the passing lane and no vehicle immediately behing me. The steering wheel did this...not me. The contact stated that the incident date was May 31, 2023 and not June 1, 2023.

Battery has been replaced 3 times. Starter is failing. It sometimes takes up to 15 minutes or more to crank my car making me late for work. Running errands/getting in & out of the car & having to turn the key 50 times in the heat of summer with a baby in the car is a safety hazard. Fuel pump issue when I put my car in reverse & start to back up, my car will die. Another safety hazard because I don’t have control of my car, it just keeps rolling backwards after it dies & doesn’t allow me to get out of the way if another vehicle is coming. Information center on the dashboard often tells me to check fuel cap. Anything happening in the fuel area is certainly hazardous. I’ve called the Honda dealership & they tell me my car is no longer under warranty. Yes, everything is available for inspection. The starter problem has been confirmed by an independent service center. The fuel cap notification appeared 2 weeks ago but the car has been dying in reverse for 2 years. The starter began failing 4 months ago with no help from the Honda dealership due to my warranty being expired.

The contact's mother owns a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while his mother was driving approximately 55 MPH and crossing a highway bridge, the steering failed. The contact stated that his mother stated that the steering wheel independently jerked to the right and when she corrected by turning left, the vehicle jerked violently to the left. The contact stated that his mother lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle made several 360 degree turns before she was able to slow the vehicle and straightened the vehicle out and crossed the bridge. The contact stated that his mother stopped at an off ramp and left the vehicle. The contact returned to pick up the vehicle and observed that the passenger’s side rear tire tread had separated from the side walls. The contact stated that he drove the vehicle back to her residence. The contact stated that the "Power Steering Assist" and "Hill Assist" warning lights were illuminated. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: EA21001 (Steering). The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.

I Was driving my vehicle on, standing on the Expressway heading east. The roads were snow and sleek. Out of nowhere. My vehicle start to lose power. And suddenly stopped. I was stuck in the middle of the highway, very scared and feared for my life and I feared for the other peoples lives and their vehicles and hoping no collision occurs. Luckily. I was able to avoid the collision. And a tow truck came to tow my car to the Honda dealership. I had a recall for the drive shaft. A corroded drive shaft broke on which the vehicle was unmovable. My vehicle also roll away when I shifted to parked and I had to set the parking brake. This almost cost me the risk of a crash or injury without prior warning. And the Honda dealership did not correct the problem. I had to tow The vehicle To my mechanic shop and the next following day my mechanic expected that my drive shaft was not good. Mechanic had to order The drive actual shaft And get it replaced and fixed.

Multitude of dash warning lights are on. Honda dealership says the Modulator assembly needs replaced. They say its backordered and have no idea when to expect it. I have seen on the internet that other customers are asking the same question. It seems dangerous since I have no idea or what safety systems are working.

The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The driver parked on the side of the road and after inspecting the vehicle, continued driving to the destination. The contact also stated the vehicle would steer independently to the right, and the steering wheel would become difficult to turn. The contact stated that the steering wheel had to be manually turned to return to center. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the electric power steering assist system to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.

Sunroof exploded and shattered spontaneously without any signs of being hit by a flying debris or foreign objects, while driving approximately at 70 mph along I-15 North, between the Nisqualli and Palmdale Road exits, in Victorville, CA 92392. No vehicle was ahead of me and two cars approximately 300 feet behind were following me. This happened on a Sunday between 1-2 pm. I did not know that there were incidents of spontaneous explosion and shattering of sunroofs until I was able to read an article while shopping online for a genuine Honda sunroof replacement, since Valley-Hi Honda informed me that the part is backordered with no ETA. I hope Honda will replace it for free with a recall advisory.

Driving in rainy conditions, no puddles or standing water observed on road. Driving about 50mph, slight bend in road. The car suddenly veers left and I cannot control the car with steering wheel. The car hits the median, spins completely around and then hits median again and stops. I put the car in park and turned the car off. The airbags on driver’s side windows, steering wheel, and driver’s seat deployed. I did not see any warning lights. I have second degree burns on left hand and left forearm. The car is being looked at by an independent service at this time. I have not contacted manufacturer. If the insurance company does not think the car is totaled, and we fix the car, how do I know this won’t happen again?

After having my Honda Accord sport 2015 4 cylinder, I started to notice around 90k miles an occasional grinding noise when starting the car that is getting progressively worse. I've had previous Hondas with many more miles and never had this issue before. I believe the issue is the starter, but I have not been able to take it to the mechanic yet. I intend to go this weekend. I'd like to also state there have been numerous reports regarding starters for a V6 engine, and I believe it is the same for 4 cylinders.

My car will randomly say check charge system. I have got my battery and alternator both tested and they're both at Perfect working capacity I Google the problem and I found out there has been a recall in the past on the same issue with 2013 to 2016 models. And my car is having the same electrical issue my car runs and drive fine it does not turn off or anything but it just keeps on showing check charge system. The past recalls has been in the Rusted salt belt area and that is where I am in Massachusetts. It is the battery connector issue. Is the sensor that connects to the battery I guess that has been faulty in the past and other cars and has been in multiple 9th gen Honda Accords. And my car keeps having the same issue even though my battery and alternator are perfect. How do I get Honda to fix this.

While driving home from work, taking my usual country highway, suddenly my car took a sharp turn out of nowhere. I did not brake but tried to steer myself back to my lane. The vehicle jerked that direction, then jerked back the other way. I went back and forth four or five times before very carefully slowing down and pulling the car to the side of the road. Thankfully, no other vehicles were beside or coming toward me, or I am sure this would have resulted in an accident. Multiple dash symbols were lit up and remained on after turning off the car and on again. These were Vehicle Stability Assist, Electric Power Steering, Low Tire Pressure, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. I waited on the side of the road until a tow truck could pick it up. The service center told us after their test drive that there is nothing wrong with this vehicle. Nothing has been done, and I fear the next time the vehicle decides to "act up."

Warning lights on dash (ABS, Brake, Steering, FCW, LDW, Slip/traction control) all came on at the same time, every time I started the car. Brought to Holler Honda Winter Park, FL and they diagnosed as having faulty VSA modulator-control unit. Part has not been available for over 2 years and don't know when will be available. Dangerous, but told fine to drive car just not to jam on brakes! Doesn't sound safe to me. NO stability control! Miraculously found Honda part at Honda dealer in NJ by searching online after Holler gave me part number. Paid over $900 to buy part/shipping. Brought to Holler to fix. Within 2 weeks had 2 VERY close calls where drivers cut right in front of me almost causing collision and causing me to have to jam on my brakes. BUT...FCW and ABS didn't work. FCW never alerted me to possible collision (used to work perfectly for over 7 years I've had the car) and ABS did not work (brakes locked up and I skidded but miraculously stopped in time). Brought back to Holler Honda and they plugged it in to computer and 1st told me that I had turned off the FCW (I wouldn't know how to do this even if it were possible), then when they could not show me how to turn it back on (because I don't have the ability to turn it off) they told me I must not have FCW (I do) and that the ABS was working just fine (it's not). After speaking with HONDA NA and sharing the info with them, they told me that I did in fact have FCW and that no one could find anything wrong with the car. I think I bought a bad "new" VSA mod. but since Honda refuses to issue a recall when I told them about the problem, I will never know and now can't do anything about it. I know I'm not the only one driving around with a potentially dangerous car because this repair cannot be done and there is an "indefinite, nation-wide waiting list" on the part (due to supply issues). Spent over $1400 to basically have all the warning lights turned off and the car NOT repaired.

I was driving at about 30 MPH when the steering wheel froze all of a sudden and Electric Power Steering Malfunction indicator turned on suddenly. The steering became very hard to turn left or right. I was on a road with light traffic so somehow pulled over to the side with manual strength and turned off power. When I turned back the vehicle, it seemed to be ok and I drove for about a mile, only to have the same issue again. The issue seemed to be intermittent which makes it more dangerous. I took the car to a dealer but they could not reproduce the issue and reset the error code. The issue showed up again immediately after leaving dealers place. The car is driven less than 50k miles and about 7 years old. I am the first owner. The power Steering works intermittently, but then again freezes up making it very dangerous to drive. This is a massive safety issue if the system just stops in middle of road as not everyone will have the physical strength to steer the car.I have seen multiple similar reports from people online.

ABS Module is defective. Dashboard lights corresponding to ABS and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems continuously turn on and off. A quick online search proves that this is a very common issue on Honda Accords. This was also confirmed by Honda Dealer Service department and two independent mechanics. Honda needs to issue a recall for effected vehicles.

Hello, I turned my car on and saw the engine emissions system warning, which I’ve never seen before. I thought the cold front or sudden temperature change in my city had something to do with it & it would go away because my car is well maintained(all services done at Honda dealership). I was driving on the freeway about 75 mph and all of a sudden my car stops accelerating. I floored the gas pedal but it was only going about 30 mph(felt weak or like it was operating on battery only) this is when the “engine cooling system problem” and “engine temperature too hot” warnings started flashing. The car behind me almost hit me, other cars were passing & honking at me, I was holding up traffic so I got in the emergency lane. While in the emergency lane I had to turn my car on an off about 6 times for it to work normally for about 5/10 minutes before it would start stalling or the acceleration would stop working(this would happen when the coolant warning started flashing) until I got home. I was confused on why the car wasn’t accelerating like normal because I had more than half a gas tank left & my coolant has been replaced. The next day I turn on my car and it’s perfectly normal-no warnings. I took it to the Honda services and showed them the video I took of the warnings because I was scared and felt unsafe driving it, but they told me to bring it back when the warning lights turn back on the dashboard. It was Normal for about a week, then the warning lights popped back up and it would start stalling/not accelerate again. I constantly had to turn my car off and on driving to Honda services. They told me nothing is wrong with the coolant, they did a diagnostic test on it and said it’s the Computer module/electrical interference causing the warning lights/pumps not to not work. I believe it’s the hybrid propulsion system recall 15V602000, I have a 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid but my VIN is not recalled? Is there anyway to add my vin to the recall? Please and thank you.
