The investigation into the F-150 sudden transmission Downshifts into a lower gear at highway speeds needs to be expanded and also include F-250 6.7 L diesel. It has happened in my F-250 twice while traveling on the interstate at highway speeds, down shifts from gear 6 to gear 3. VERY DANGEROUS

my f250 super duty just completely stopped running while driving down the interstate, i then had the vehicle towed to the ford dealer where i purchased it in 2015. after the shop examination they found that the high pressure cp4 fuel pump had came apart and contaminated the fuel system entirely. The shop forman called and advised me of the problem and that it would cost 16,000.00 to have it fixed. he also advised me the this was a ongoing problem that they have had with this particular fuel pump, and that they had recall on the trucks from 2011 to 2018 for this. but he told me that my vin number was not on the recall list. he said that i would have to pay out of pocket to have the repairs done. I THEN CONTACTED FORD MANUFACTORING about this, the service lady that i spoke to said that there was nothing they could do because my truck was not on the recall list. To me this is a big safety measure, because when it quit, if i haven't been in an area where i was able to get out off the road there could have been a very serious accident. i feel that an issue like this that ford knows they have and continue using the same pumps should be there responsibility. I had know visible or any warnings sign of this was going to happen. this truck i purchased new and have put every mile on it and had this truck service very regularly. i have all the service records, just had the fuel filters and oil changed about 2 weeks before this happened. My truck shakes so violently I am concerned for my safety and that of my wife. The service writer states parts that were replaced two - three weeks ago are “shot”. How can this be? Ford F250’s have this as a known problem with no real fix. Just keep throwing parts at it with no resolve. I had the truck worked on in July ‘23, May ‘24 and now. I am invested heavily in this truck and have now had to replace parts multiple times because some design flaw keeps wearing them out. I’d love to see some sort of recall that forces some sort of redesign and real repair.

On multiple occasions I have experienced the “F250 death wobble”. When reaching speeds of over 60 mph my front end and steering wheel start shaking violently. The entire truck is uncontrollable. It feels like the vehicle is going to shake apart. It is difficult to even hold onto the steering wheel and keep the vehicle going in a straight line. I have to slow down to about 30 mph on an interstate to make it stop, creating a dangerous situation. Sometimes I have to pull off the road. Often, when hitting a bump in the road it gets triggered. I’ve had it looked at multiple times at ford dealerships and nothing is ever found that is the cause of it. It’s extremely dangerous and there is no recall for this problem. Thankfully I have managed to keep control of the vehicle. I’ve experienced this problem for going on 3-5 years. I have replaced the front tires numerous times as that seems to help, though not eliminate the problem. Ford needs to do something about this with a recall or educating their service departments. There are tons of complaints online
