Vehicle was traveling northbound when green light turned red. Steady press of the brakes revealed the brake pedal had no travel. Pumped and held brake pedal to try to stop. Pedal gave way after vehicle entered the intersection causing collision with another motor vehicle. No warning lights or issues indicating the brakes may fail. The previous years of vehicle appear to have a recall specifically for hard brake pedal, but not the 2015.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2015 Dodge Dart verdict →
