Cannot see blind spot with rear or side mirrors, such as children on sidewalk directly behind the vehicle where not in view of side mirrors and too low to see in the rear view. Chevy C7 corvettes have an issue with the center screen that project he backup camera. Due to the screen retracts, the cabling wears out and causes the camera to flicker or go blank. It seems the part to repair has been discontinued. This represents a safety hazard for all C7 corvettes since the part is label discontinued and the camera is much needed to back to car up safely without causing injury or property damage.

The entire dash went dark, there was no display of the odometer, symbols for system IE lights, oil pressure, tachometer, and no display on the screen where the radio or navigation selections are made. This began upon car being started. Turning off engine and restarting did not resolve. Car was drivable but not safely as speed could not be monitored.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2015 Chevrolet Corvette verdict →
