CAR WAS STATIONARY THE CAR DOORS GET STUCK IN LOCKED STATE AND WILL NOT UNLOCK FROM INSIDE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED AFTER A DRIVE OR WHEN YOU START UP THE VEHICLE AND IT IS IN PARKED POSITION. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER CAN GET LOCKED INSIDE THE CAR. THIS HAPPENS DUE TO FAILED LOCK ACTUATOR AND POSSIBLE MECHANICAL FAILURE IN THE DOOR LOCK MECHANISM. THIS ISSUE IS EXTREMELY WIDESPREAD YET THERE IS NO RECALL FROM BMW ON THIS ISSUE. I'VE EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE 3 ADDITIONAL TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN APRIL OF 2018.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2014 BMW 428xi verdict →
