TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 BMW 320XI. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V071000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. UPDATED 05/05/17*LJ *CN

I AM A WIDOW WITH TWO CHILDREN AND AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE DUE TO THE AIRBAG RECALL AND THE INJURIES AND DEATHS IT HAS CAUSED. I WAS NOTIFIED IN FEBRUARY BUT THE PART HAS NEVER BEEN AVAILABLE FOR REPLACEMENT.
