ON JULY 19TH 2013 I WAS WAITING FOR THE LIGHT BIG GARBAGE CONTAINER TRUCK HIT MY BACK AND THE FORCE I HIT INFRONT OF MY VEHICLE INJURING A PASSENGER . THIS WAS A MULTI VEHICLE ACCIDENT ,I WAS IN THE MIDDLE HIT FROM MY BACK AND MY FRONT HIT INFRONT OF MY VEHICLE. DURING THIS IMPACT MY VEHICLE'S AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY IT. I COMPLAINED TO CHRYSLER ,THEY ISSUE A CASE#[XXX] AND INVESTIGATE THE ACCIDENT. ACCORDING TO CHRYSLER THEY SEND TO TECHNICIAN TO TAKE A SENSOR DATA FROM MY VEHICLE AND SEND TO DETROIT FOR FURTHER ANALYSIS. COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO I RECEIVED LETTER FROM CHRYSLER GROUP LLC. THE LETTER CONTENTS ARE THE PURPOSE OF THE AIRBAG IS TO DEPLOY IN THOSE IMPACTS WHERE THE ACCIDENT SEVERITY IS GREAT ENOUGH AND THE FRONT-END CRUSH CANNOT MANAGE ALL OF THE ENERGY OF THE IMPACT AND LOWER THE LONGITUDINAL (FRONT TO BACK) DECELERATION IN THE OCCUPANT COMPARTMENT TO THE DESIRED LEVELS. MY CASE I HAVE FRONT AND BACK IMPACT,MY VEHICLE ALONE $17000.00+ DAMAGE. CHRYSLER REFUSED TO RELEASE THE REPORT TO ME UNLESS I HAVE A LEGAL REPRESENTATIVE. HOW CAN I FIND THAT AIRBAG WASN'T MALFUNCTIONING AND WHAT G-FORCE THAT TRUCK HIT ME. IF YOU NEED ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THESE ACCIDENT I WILL ASSIST YOU WITH BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE DRIVER'S SEAT BECAME HOT AND THE DRIVER SAFELY MERGED OFF ROAD. HE THEN NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE SEAT AND HE EXITED THE VEHICLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION AND WAS DEEMED AS BEING DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,400.

2013 JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON, CAUGHT FIRE AFTER COMING OFF OF A HIGHWAY. TRAVELING UNDER 30 MPH, I SAW FLAMES UNDERNEATH THE JEEP BEHIND ME ( MY FRIENDS JEEP ). BY THE TIME I NOTICED IT WAS A BALL OF FLAME. I IMMIDIATELY SLAMED ON THE BRAKES AND WAVED HIM DOWN. HE COULD BARELY STOP BECAUSE HIS BRAKES ALSO WENT OUT( HE SAID THE ABS LIGHT FLIPPED ON) MY OTHER FRIEND JUMPED OUT OF THE VEHICLE I WAS TRAVELING IN AND ATTEMPTED HELP SAID FRIEND IN THE WRANGLER. SAME FRIEND HAD A GIANT BUCKET OF WATER IN HIS BED OF THE TRUCK I WAS DRIVING. I GRABBED IT AND RAN TO THE WRANGLER. I LOOKED UNDERNEATH THE JEEP, THE FLAMES WERE SMALLER AND I COULD SEE THAT THE ORIGIN WAS ON TOP OF THE TRANSMISSION. THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO, I DIDN'T HAVE A CUP OR A DEVICE TO SCOOP WATER TO PUT THE FIRE OUT. AT THIS TIME I REALIZED THAT THIS WAS A FORM OF CHEMICAL FIRE. SO WATER WOULD HAVE MADE IT WORSE. WE EVACUATED THE AREA SINCE IT WAS SO CLOSE TO THE GAS TANK. I CALLED THE ON BASE COPS AND THE FIRE TRUCKS WERE THERE WITHIN 10. AT THIS TIME THE INTERRIOR WAS ON FIRE, THEY ATTEMPED TO PUT THE FIRE OUT BUT THE GAS TANK HAD RUPTURED. ABOUT 8 GALLONS OF GAS WAS ON ITS WAY OUT OF THE TANK. IT TOOK 2, 000 GALLONS, 2 TRUCKS, 6 FIRE EXTUINGUISHERS, AND AN UNKNOWN REFILL OF WATER FROM ANOTHER WATER TRUCK TO BOTH FIRE TRUCKS TO PUT THE FIRE OUT! I HAVE 90% OF EVERYTHING ON VIDEO.
