2013 HYUNDAI AZERA. CONSUMER STATED THAT THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DURING AUTO ACCIDENT. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED HE AND HIS WIFE WERE STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR. THE VEHICLE THE STRUCK A GUARDRAIL, FOLLOWING IT FOR 50FT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. THE CONSUMER'S WIFE WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS AND ENDURED. SERIOUS ISSUES WITH HER NECK, EARS AND HIP. BOTH HAD CONCUSSIONS.*DT*JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 HYUNDAI AZERA. WHILE THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, IT WAS REAR ENDED BY A SECOND VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE FRONT END OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE LEFT KNEE, LEFT ARM, SHOULDER, AND FACE. THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED CHEST AND RIGHT ARM INJURIES. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AWAY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
