TRUCK HAS JUST TURNED 20,000 MILES. AFTER HAVING THE DEF SYSTEM SERVICED AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP TRUCK HAS TO GO THU THE PARTICULATE FILTER REGEN SOONER AND SOONER. NOW EVERY 75 MILES. WHICH CAUSES TRUCK TOO LOSE POWER AND PRODUCE EXCESIVE EXHAUST TEMPERATURES WHICH CAN POTENTULLY CAUSE A FIRE. FORD IS TELLING ME THE EXHAUST EMISSSION SYSTEM IS OUT OF WARANTY YET TRUCK JUST HAS 20,000 MILES. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND A DANGER TO MYSELF, MY FAMILY, AND ANYONE NEARBY

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, the vehicle stalled with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact was able to pull the vehicle off to the side of the road; however, the vehicle failed to restart after multiple attempts. He initially had the vehicle towed to a dealer where he was informed that his vehicle could not be inspected for two weeks. The contact then towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic who informed him that the fuel pump was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and provided him with a case number. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.

HIGH PRESSURE PUMP WENT OUT CAUSING THE FUEL SYSTEM TO FELL.. RECEIVED AN ESTIMATE TO REPLACE THE PUMP AND FUEL SYSTEM. OVER 9,000 TO FIX.. MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING AT THE TIME WHEN THE PUMP WENT OUT.. CAUSING IT TO SHUT DOWN, WE HAD IT TOWED TO THE CLOSEST FORD DEALERSHIP.

TRUCK WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT THE CP4 HP PUMP HAD FAILED CONTAMINATING THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM. THE REPAIR BILL WAS ~$8,200

I WAS DRIVING AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THE CODE WAS P205C, WHICH REDUCTANT TANK TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW. I WAS TOLD BY THE FORD DEALER THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PART FROM TRUCKS MADE FROM AUG 2009 TO OCT 23 2012 AND MY TRUCK WAS MADE ON NOV 5, 2012. MY TRUCK MISSED BEING A PART OF THIS RECALL BY LESS THAN 2 WEEKS! I THINK THAT IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE MORE VIN NUMBERS CORRESPONDING TO TRUCKS MANUFACTURED LATER.

FORD VOIDING WARRANT REPAIRS ON CP4 FUEL PUMP DUE TO FUEL CONTAMINATION - WE HAVE SEEN NHTSA RESOLVE THE ISSUE WITH CP4 FULE PUMP FOR VW- WE NEED TO HAVE NHTSA LOOK AT THIS FOR FORD- THEY REPAIR COST THAT FORD IS PUTTING ON THE OWNERS RANGE FROM 10-18KU . THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE WITH FORD AND NHTSA - DEALERS ARE INSTRUCTING OWNERS TO ALSO TO FILE A CLAIM WITH THEIR AUTO INSURANCE COMPANY UNDER COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE SO THEY INSURANCE COMPANY PAYS FOR THEIR FAULTY DESIGN. MANY TRUCK OWNERS ARE TAKING HUGE LOSSES AS WELL AS INSURANCE COMPANIES - WE ASK THAT THE NHTSA GET INVOLVED WITH AND BEGIN AN INVESTIGATION INTO THIS ISSUE.

AS I PULLED OUT OF THE DEALER AFTER TAKING IT IN FOR A REPLACEMENT MIRROR AND WASHER NOZZLES,I GOT ONTO THE FREEWAY AND AT ABOUT 60 MPH MY MY TRUCK LOST POWER,SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON,THE WARNING SIGN ON THE DASH INDICATED THAT THE TRUCK DID NOT HAVE ANY FUEL PRESSURE AND SPEED DROPPED TO ABOUT 30 MPH.AS I WAS ABLE TO PULL OF THE FREEWAY BEFORE CAUSING AN ACCIDENT,I PARKED THE TRUCK, CONTACTED THE DEALER TO SEE WHAT EXACTLY WAS DONE TO MY TRUCK BESIDES THE WORK THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE.I THEN WAS ABLE TO GET BACK TO THE DEALER THROUGH THE STREETS BECAUSE IT WAS ONLY LIMITED TO A CERTAIN SPEED.AFTER THE DEALER TOOK 2 WEEKS TO INSPECT THE TRUCK THEY CONCLUDED THAT THE TRUCK BROKE DOWN DUE TO BAD DIESEL FUEL AND POSSIBLE WATER AND RUST IN THE FUEL COMPONENTS.THE TRUCK IS EQUIPPED WITH A FUEL WATER SEPARATOR AND WATER WARNING SYSTEMS WHEN IT NEEDS TO BE DRAINED AND MAINTAINED.NEVER HAD THE LIGHT INDICATE THAT TRUCK HAD WATER OR ANY TYPE OF ISSUE WITH THE FUEL LINES YET THE DEALER AT FORD BLAMES IT ON BAD FUEL.WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE DAMAGES DUE TO BAD FUEL AND IT IS A $10,000 REPAIR FOR THE CONSUMER.THE TRUCK IS ALSO EQUIPPED WITH TWO FUEL FILTERS AND YET THEY FOUND DEBRIS IN THE FUEL LINES.I BELIEVE MORE NEEDS TO BE DONE ON THEIR END TO PREVENT HIGH COST TO THE CONSUMER AND MAKE THEIR PARTS TO STANDARD TO PREVENT ANY COSTLY DAMAGES TO THE VEHICLES.I DO NOT KNOW IF MY INSURANCE WILL COVER IT YET I'M STILL WAITING ON FORD TO FINISH THEIR INSPECTION OF THE TRUCK.

I WAS DRIVING ON A LOCAL INTERSTATE WHEN MY 2013 FORD F-250 6.7 DIESEL SHUT OFF. I WAS IN THE FAST LANE, THE TRUCK LOST ALL POWER AND RAPIDLY SLOWED DOWN. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO GET THE TRUCK OVER TO THE SHOULDER USING STROBE LIGHTS AND HAZARD LIGHTS TO WARN OTHER VEHICLES THAT I HAD A SERIOUS PROBLEM. THE INTERIOR OF THE TRUCK BEGAN TO SMELL OF DIESEL FUEL AND IT BECAME DIFFICULT TO BREATHE. I CALLED MY DEALER, AND THE LOCAL TOWING COMPANY CAME TO GET IT. AFTER APPROX. 1 WEEK AT THE DEALER AND EXPECTING THIS TO BE AN INSTANT WARRANTY REPAIR, FORD MOTOR CO. HAS DENIED ANY WARRANTY COVERAGE CLAIMING "FUEL CONTAMINATION." THE ESTIMATED REPAIR IS $11,500 AND THE TRUCK THAT I PURCHASED ON AUGUST 3, 2013 FOR $50K+ IS NOW ESTIMATED TO BE WORTH $12,000 UNLESS REPAIRED. I AM NOT COMFORTABLE IN THE TRUCK ANYMORE AND I READ ALL OVER THE INTERNET ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND HOW FORD IS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR A FLAW ON THEIR END. THERE ARE PEOPLE ALL OVER THE COUNTRY WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND EVEN STILL FORD WILL NOT OWN UP TO IT AND REPAIR THEM UNDER WARRANTY. THE NEW 2015 TRUCK HAS A COMPLETELY REDESIGNED FUEL SYSTEM WHICH IS A CLEAR INDICATION THAT THEY KNEW IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH THEIR OIL/WATER SEPARATORS AND THEIR FUEL SYSTEM. AS OF NOW, I LOST $40,000 IN 1 YEAR (OWNED TRUCK FOR 13 MONTHS PRIOR TO CATASTROPHIC FAILURE) AND COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED HAD I NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET OFF THE ROAD. *TR
