Driving approximately 50 mph on highway when the front glass panel of the sunroof exploded. No other traffic on the road or pulled off the road. No planes flying overhead. Explosion sounded like a gunshot. Have cleaned the car of shattered glass, didn’t find any foreign objects in the car.

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that driving on multiple occasions while driving at various speeds, the infotainment panel went black and did not work as intended. Additionally, the contact stated that the message “Wrong Gear/Change Gear” was displayed. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that on another occasion while in neutral, the vehicle failed to shift into park as intended. The vehicle was taken to a dealer twice however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that years later, the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the infotainment system needed to be replaced. The failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.

The alternator ceased up on me while I was driving on 7/12/2019. This almost caused an accident! I was driving around 55MPH and the steering and brakes completely locked up. I couldn't turn the wheel or stop my car. Eventually I slowed down and barely got the steering wheel to turn so I wasn't stuck right on the highway. My car was towed to a mechanic that replaced the alternator. I later received a recall notice in the mail for the alternator and have been trying to get reimbursed.

The contact indicated that the vehicle was previously serviced under the NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V435000 (Electrical System). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 67,400.

On the gear shift lever of my vehicle, there are jagged, hard plastic pieces between the leather and the shift lever that continuously cuts my fingers while shifting gears. The cuts are similar to papercuts. One time, a piece of the hard plastic broke off and got stuck in my hand, which required tweezers to remove. Very painful.

RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2013 CHRYSLER 300 THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN HAVING CONSTANT STARTING ISSUES. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO AT LEAST 5 SHOPS AND EVERY SHOP IS TELLING ME THAT MY VEHICLE IS HAVING CODES COME BACK FOR THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: CONTROL MODULE (TCM, PCM) THE CAR HAS BEEN WORKED ON MULTIPLE TIMES AND I AM STILL UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I SEEN THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2013 CHRYSLER 300 FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE AND I BELIEVE MY VEHICLE MAY HAVE BEEN AFFECTED.

I OWN A 2013 CHRYSLER 300C LUXURY 5.7L IT RAN FINE AS OF APRIL 5TH 2021. ON APRIL 6TH 2021 THE CAR SUDDENLY WOULDN'T START. CRANKED FOREVER AND WOULD EVENTUALLY START. HAD 0 OIL PRESSURE BUT JUST HAD AN OIL CHANGE A FEW HUNDRED MILES BEFORE. CODES WERE PRESENTED ON THE ODB2 SCANNER TOOL. THE CAR ITSELF SAID SOMETHING ABOUT A SHORT OR SOMETHING. TRIED EVERYTHING I COULD TO FIX IT AND NOTHING WORKED. EVENTUALLY ALL THE SCREENS AND GAUGES BEGIN TO SEIZE OUT AND THE CAR DIES. WON'T EVEN START. BATTERY WAS ALSO CHECKED AND FINE.

WHEN I SPOKE WITH A DEALER PARTS DEPARTMENT, THERE WERE HUNDREDS OF THESE MODULES BACKORDERED WITH NO FULFILLMENT DATE AVAILABLE. THE PART NUMBERS NECESSARY FOR MY SPECIFIC VEHICLE ARE 68195727AA (ORIGINAL) AND 68210119AB (REPLACEMENT). I AM CONCERNED WITH THE LOSS OF ANTI-LOCK BRAKING ABILITY FOR HUNDREDS OF CHRYSLER VEHICLES.

THE GAS AND BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY WILL RETRACT ON IT'S OWN WHILE DRIVING. THE TRANSMISSION W5A580-NAG1-722.6 EITHER SHIFT EXTREMELY HARD 3-4 4-5 OR SLIPS IN BETWEEN THE GEARS CAUSING THE ENGINE RPMS TO GO WAY UP AND THEN EITHER FALLS BACK INTO GEAR OR CAUSES A NEUTRAL AND WILL NOT GO BACK INTO GEAR UNTIL YOU EITHER DROP BELOW 18 MPH OR COMPLETELY STOP AND EITHER PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND BACK INTO DRIVE OR SHUT THE ENGINE OFF FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS AND START IT BACK UP. AFTER THE FLARE BETWEEN GEARS IT IS STUCK IN 3RD GEAR OR LIMP MODE WITH A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DTC READ P0730 THROUGH P0735. LITERALLY HAVE TO CARRY A DIAGNOSTIC SCAN TOOL WITH ME TO CLEAR THE CODES. ITS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND ALWAYS HAPPENS IN THE WORST PLACES LIKE GETTING ON THE INTERSTATE OR ON BUSY CITY STREETS ALMOST CAUSES AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO PULL OVER AND STOP NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE OR THE CONDITIONS AROUND YOU... THESE ARE ALL VERY COMMON ISSUES WITH THIS CAR, IT WOULD BE NICE IF CHRYSLER WOULD MAKE IT RIGHT...

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE WOULD SHIFT OUT OF GEAR INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO MCCLUSKEY CHEVROLET (9673 KINGS AUTO MALL RD, CINCINNATI, OH 45249) ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS WHERE THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE WITH TRANSMISSION FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

AFTER READING REVIEWS THE HEMI ENGINE IS KNOWN TO BREAK DOWN. THE ESTIMATED COST FOR A NEW ENGINE APPROXIMATELY $ 7,000. VEHICLE ALL OF A SUDDEN IDLED VERY ROUGH TOOK IN AND MAJOR WORK NEEDED TO BE DONE. WISH CHRYSLER WOULD BACK THEIR VEHICLE.

AS I WAS DRIVING, ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. I PULLED OVER PLACED THE CAR IN PARK, BUT THE CAR WAS STUCK IN THE RUN POSITION BUT WAS NOT RUNNING. I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY VIA THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL AND PROCEEDED TO RECONNECT IT. I HAVE POWER TO THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR LIGHTS GAS AND TRUNK DOOR, BUT NOTHING AS FAR AS CLUSTER PANEL OR STARTER BUTTON. I PLACED THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND PULLED IT HOME, THE DASH AND RADIO CAME ON, I ASSUME DUE TO THE WHEELS TURNING BRINGING POWER THROUGH THE ALTERNATOR. AFTER SOME THOROUGH RESEARCH, I FOUND THAT THERE WAS A FAULTY ALTERNATOR ON THESE CARS FOR RECALL.

IN MARCH 2019 I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE A CHROMED SECTION ON THE STEERING WHEEL WAS PEELING BACK AND HAD CAUSED ME TO CUT MY THUMB ON IT. THEY LOOKED AT THE CAR AND THEY ALSO CALLED ON MY EXTENDED WARRANTY AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED BECAUSE IT WAS COSMETIC IN NATURE. I TRIED WORKING DIRECTLY WITH THE WARRANTY (ZURICH) PERSONNEL AND THEY SEEMED AT FIRST AS THOUGH THEY WOULD TRY TO ASSIST AND THEN DECIDED NOT TO. I DID NOT PURSUE IT ANY FURTHER SINCE. ABOUT A MONTH AGO I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND MY RIGHT HAND THUMB RAN ACROSS ANOTHER SECTION OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND IT PUT A CONSIDERABLE CUT IN MY THUMB. I HAVE A PHOTO OF THAT AS WELL AS THE PIECE THAT BROKE OFF IN MY THUMB. THIS PROBLEM IS NOT COSMETIC IN NATURE BUT REALLY IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM BUT THE STEERING WHEEL HAS THE HEATED FEATURE AND I USE IT ALL THE TIME IN THE WINTER. IT DOES SEEM TO GET VERY WARM FROM THE HEAT AND I AM NOT SURE IF THAT COULD BE CONTRIBUTING TO THE PROBLEM. I AM VERY UPSET ABOUT THE FACT THAT THIS PROBLEM IS SOMETHING THAT WILL CONTINUE TO GET WORSE OVER TIME AS THE CHROME PLATING CONTINUES TO PEEL AWAY. THE PROBLEM DOES NOT EXIST FROM NEGLECTFUL USE, IS VERY REAL, AND AGAIN SHOULD BE LOOKED AT FROM A SAFETY STANDPOINT. WHEN I WAS DRIVING THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED, IT CAUSED A QUICK REACTION TO LOOK DOWN AT MY THUMB TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED AND CERTAINLY DISTRACTED MY DRIVING THAT SUDDENLY. I WOULD APPRECIATE THIS BEING LOOKED INTO FOR ME AS WELL ANY OTHER DRIVER THAT MAY HAVE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS. *TR
