What 2 owners told NHTSA about the 2026 Mini Countryman S All4

These are the actual owner complaints behind this car’s reliability verdict, filed with the federal government, unedited. They’re unverified reports, not confirmed defects: read them as leads for your pre-purchase inspection, not a diagnosis.

The vehicle onboard screen is very slow to connect to our Android phones. This has been an issue from the very beginning. A drivetrain fault message appeared on 04/01 (NOT a joke!!) and the car was not responsive to going in reverse gear. The transmission stopped responding and we were barely able to make it to the dealership. The car wouldn't go past 40mph. We've had the car since mid-December and it only has a little over 1200 miles.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2026 Mini Countryman S All4 verdict →
