My F150 lost all power while driving as my wife was approaching a stop sign on XXX. Everything in the truck failed to work. When the power went out all safety devices: 4-way hazards, parking brake, brakes, airbags, steering etc... were inoperable. The truck was towed to a Ford Dealer Garage in Manteno, Illinois about 150 miles from my home. The ford garage replaced the RL3Z-14A068-G Ford Panel Assembly-Fuse Junction Panel. The truck was in the shop for 7 days. I was never informed of the reason this junction panel assemble failed. This same truck was in the shop from May 27 - July 3, 2025 for a wiring harness concern with only 1,200. At first, they were going to replace the entire wiring harness, but eventually they repaired a loose pin. My truck has been in the shop for 45 days since purchasing it on April 18, 2025. My outstanding questions: Are the wiring harness and the panel assembly issues connected? Is it safe to drive my truck? I drove it home from 150 miles away from the breakdown. Since then, I have only driven it a few miles locally. My wife is hesitant to ride in the truck after the experience. I contacted Ford on June 4/5 and they connected me with the Ford service manager at Dixon Ford, in [XXX]. I asked that a Ford Service Engineer inspect the truck to trace any ghost resistance. He indicated that they were unable to perform this task at his place of service. The main concern I have: Is my truck safe to drive? We had initially discussed taking the truck on our 10-day trip to the Rocky Mountains, but opted for my wife's Highlander. Imagine if this failure occurred in the Rocky Mountains? My vehicle does not appear on the recall list for repair concerning Trailer lighting module fault. Trailer was tested on 5 other vehicles within our neighborhood and worked perfectly. Addressed issue with ford dealership and was told vehicle was not on recall list, yet the error is there. It appears the vehicle needs the updated software ford has issued but dealership refused to issue repair. Vehicle is still under warranty.

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a safety-related issue with my 2025 Ford F-150, 5.0, that began immediately following recent recall service on the brake booster system. Since the recall work was completed, the ABS system has been producing a loud electrical rattling or grinding noise during vehicle takeoff. This noise is consistent and occurs at low speeds when accelerating from a stop. Prior to the recall service, this issue was not present. Given that this problem appears to be directly related to the anti-lock braking system, I am concerned about the safety and reliability of my vehicle. The ABS system is critical for maintaining control and braking performance, and any malfunction or abnormal behavior raises serious concerns about potential failure or degraded performance. Please treat this matter with urgency, as it involves a critical safety system. I expect prompt resolution and clear communication regarding the findings and corrective actions.

While traveling on vacation April 15, my 2025 F150 truck suffered a total loss of forward momentum on the highway and in city of Los Angeles —a severe safety failure. The repairing Ford dealership, diagnosed a factory-born "OPEN" in the main wiring harness (#14A005) behind the dash (DTCs P2128/P2138). To rectify this assembly-line defect, the dealership had to completely remove the dashboard (Instrument Panel). As an experienced truck owner, I know that an invasive repair of this magnitude on a brand-new vehicle significantly increases the risk of long-term electrical issues and permanent dashboard rattles. My confidence in this specific vehicle has been severely compromised.

When you’re stopped and have the Auto Hold feature on, and open your door, the gear selector will automatically shift to park and engage the e-brake. Off and on, this will cause the brake system to fault and will tell you to service immediately. A couple other times it triggered randomly with just having the Auto Hold feature activated. it’s happened on and off since i got the truck new. i have a video of me trying to engage and disengage the parking brake and nothing happens. i have to start and restart the truck multiple times to fix it

Parking break fault warning light service now light comes on intermittently when the parking break was set. The ford dealer I bought the truck from found a leaking rear left break line and replaced the left rear parking break motor assembly. The Warning light kept coming on intermittently when setting the parking break after this repair. I took it to my local ford dealer who said nothing was wrong. I’m now on a trip and the warning light continues to intermittently come on. Took it to another ford dealer who reconnected a wire and said if that didn’t work it needed a new ABS module. I continued on my trip and the warning light kept coming on. Stopped at another ford dealer who cleaned up some connectors. The warning light kept coming on and I took it back. Now they think it needs a new ABS module and said it is back ordered for 2 months and I’m a 1000+ miles from home.

I was turning right, out of a store parking lot onto the street, at very low speed. Suddenly the truck accelerated on its own. I had to quickly hit the brake to prevent striking a vehicle in front of me that had stopped for a red traffic signal. I believe there is a possibility that Ford's new method of activating cruise control (which now only requires a single button press after which the truck will set current speed OR 15 MPH, whichever is greater) could be to blame. If a driver turning the steering wheel makes contact with a single button on the steering wheel with his/her hand or palm by accident, this seems to cause the unexpected acceleration. It is a quite dangerous situation that in my opinion Ford should correct by requiring TWO steps to activate cruise control as opposed to one.

The truck has recently and randomly been making a very loud static/poping sound that actually sometimes hurts my ears. After this static continuously plays even when I reset the sync system, cycle the ignition or turn the volume to zero, it still continues. This is followed by a strong electrical burning smell. After 10 minutes this stops and the passenger side speakers are the only ones that work. The initial very loud pop/crackle is dangerous and has made me jump where it started me mid lane change as if something had collided with the truck. This lapse in concentration due to a natural startling reaction could cause an accident.

Normal driving to work. Airbag light came on. Notification on Ford app about front air bag system not working correctly. Contact Ford for service. Contacted Denooyer Ford for service that was recommended. Same dealership I purchased the truck from. Service was able to schedule me within a week but recommended not driving the vehicle as it possibly didn't have working airbags. During service they corrected 2 other recalls on the vehicle and informed me that the air bag system warranty work would be 1-2 years on replacement parts. Dealer recommended not driving vehicle till proper replacement parts got installed to correct faulty air bag sensor in seat. Dealer told me that they don't have any rental vehicles in the meantime. 1-2 years of not driving a new vehicle is not acceptable.

•Date/Time: October 22, 5:11 PM •Location: Fulton, Texas •Symptoms: Shifter stuck down/stowed; would not un‑stow despite repeated attempts, power cycles, and multiple drivers •Frequency: First observed on the date/time above; persisted through multiple attempts •Component(s): Power Train (shifter/Gear Shift Module), Electrical System On October 22 at 5:11 PM in Fulton, TX, the console‑mounted power‑folding shifter on my Ford F‑150 Lightning became stuck in the downward/stowed position and would not return to the upright (un‑stowed) position. Because it would not un‑stow, I could not select a gear and the vehicle was effectively inoperable. I pressed the shifter stow/un‑stow button multiple times, cycled the vehicle power off/on several times, and had multiple drivers attempt to operate it. The shifter remained stuck each time. This appears consistent with Ford CSP 25B09 (Gear Shift Module failure to stow/unstow) and related TSB 25‑2045 for Lightning models describing symptoms such as “shifter will not stow/unstow” or “will not shift out of gear.” After abandoning the vehicle for several hours in the not running state and then returning, I was able to unstow the shifter by pressing the button and drive away normally. This condition presents a safety hazard because the vehicle can become immobilized without the ability to select drive or reverse if the failure occurs in traffic or other unsafe locations.

Rear view camera intermittently failed to display image when truck arrived to dealer from manufacturer in Jun 2025 before purchase. Problem confirmed by dealer. Camera replaced by dealer but problem persisted within weeks of purchase. Rear view camera displayed distorted (inverted/reversed) images, flickered on/off, then finally completely failed again. Images/video of camera failing captured and provided to dealer who was able to reproduce problem but has been unable to fix problem over past 4 months due to a reportedly backordered part (coaxial cable). Lack of rear view camera reduces rear visibility when in reverse increasing risk of collision and increases risk of injury to pedestrians, particularly small children. Problems sound identical to those described in media reporting for multiple other Ford recalls on back-up cameras for other models and model years of the F150 raising suspicion that recall may need to be expanded to 2025 F150s

Backup camera failure after dealer replaced entire interior main body harness

When in reverse the backup Camera Goes to a clear image then randomly goes from a Black screen to a Green Screen and then back to normal. During that whole process and chime goes off in the truck. A message is displayed on the dash but it disappears too fast. The dealership has been able to recreate the problem but unable to repair my truck because they can’t catch the truck doing that error while hooked up to their computer system. Happens about twice a week.

The electronic instrument cluster went completely dark and would not come on after turning off the vehicle and locking and unlocking the truck. The dealer reset the cluster, but claims it was simply "overloaded." This is a major drivability issue as there is no speedometer, no indication of what gear one is in, and the turn signals are inoperable. This is a known problem with no solution.

Loss on all braking systems. Multiple warning lights including on dash. Brakes will become spongy and not stop or lock up all 4 wheels at slightest touch. Taken to dealer who provided a service memo SSM 53683 which basically says vehicle unable to power down and no fix available. Ford is aware of the problem and has done nothing to fix this despite multiple phone calls and emails. This is a significant safety issue Vehicle is also brand new will less than 1000 miles on it

When backing Ford f-150 up on any kind of an incline rear end is locked up for about ten seconds causing a safety risk. When shifting from reverse to drive. Does not do this on a flat surface. Have almost been hit three times now by cars coming around the corner of my street. Does not throw a code. Been at dealership a couple weeks. Dealership sent tech to house to observe. Did it every time! Truck only has 800 miles on it.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2025 Ford F-150 Super Cab verdict →
