Automatic breaking engaged too sensitively, the driver infront of me had stopped a few yards away and I was already starting to stop when the vehicle suddenly stopped. The driver behind me almost rear ended me. This was at a green light.

I purchased a new 2024 Mustang GT. Shortly after I experiences a dead throttle. The car would coast to a near stop and pushing the gas pedal multiple times had no effect. This has happen more than 4 times now. It was taken into the dealership twice. The first time the car was kept for a week and returned with no problem found. The second time is was returned more quickly again with no problem found. With what was asked I don't think I was taken seriously. I drive in areas with poor visibility due to hills and curves and only single lane roads without usable shoulders. Twice it happened in middle of one of these roads and I was at a near stop in middle of the roadway. I was nearly rear ended my a truck traveling at high speed twice with nowhere or no way to move. Another time exiting one street and enter on to another rather busy street with fast moving traffic. The car nearly came to a complete stop in mid turn. Power came back just in time to avoid an accident. I and possibly others could have easily been seriously injured or worse in any of those. I have concerns taking this car anywhere at this point.

The front windshield on my vehicle has cracked twice under normal driving conditions, without any significant impact or debris striking it. The cracks originated near the middle top and then another time lower edge of the glass and expanded rapidly across the surface. This seems to indicate a structural or design flaw, especially since I have seen multiple reports from other owners of the same make and model experiencing similar spontaneous windshield cracking. No, the cracked windshield is not available for inspection upon request. But I did have it sent to the dealership for review. The cracks compromised my visibility, particularly in sunlight and during night driving, which directly put my safety—and the safety of others—at risk. The second incident occurred on a highway, which was especially dangerous due to high-speed travel and glare from sunlight refracting through the cracks. This problem has not yet been formally reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center, but I have found numerous owner complaints online and in forums documenting the same issue. I believe this supports the theory that it's a broader defect rather than isolated cases. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance agents regarding this specific issue. I am open to having the damaged windshield reviewed by any party they recommend. There were no warning lights, error messages, or visible signs of damage before the cracks appeared. Both times, the windshield cracked suddenly while the car was parked or driving at moderate speeds, and the temperature conditions were not extreme.

I received a recall from Ford, about the rear camera screen software update. But ford said repair is unavailable until three quarter of 2025, which means it may repair from July to September. Now is only 13th of May. It said it cause the risk of crash. I bought a brand new car and I cannot drive it for nearly 5 months? To save my life , I cannot drive it as I need to protect myself. It’s ridiculous. No any compensation for these recall. No exact repair date. Only wait! And I still responsible for the loan payment and the devalued of the vehicle? I called the dealership and they said they have nothing to do with this. What can I do ? It’s really making troubles to my life and everyday is getting lost of money. But this is not my fault!

2024 Ford Mustang Ecoboost, Purchased New, Under 6,000 miles, check engine light came on. Vehicle was entering freeway and immediately had a loss of power. When taken to dealer, they stated that it was a cylinder 2 misfire, 2 weeks later they said I needed a new engine. The safety of myself and others were at risk because my vehicle lost power on the highway and immediately started shaking and making noise while operating at road posted speeds. This is not a first time occurance, I have the same model vehicle that I purchased in 2015 that did the exact same thing, only before 90k miles. There is a common element and I've heard other vehicle owners that have this same vehicle complaining of the same problem. They call it "Ecoboom" and Ford seems to be ignoring the problem.

I was driving home from work at approximately 65mph when my transmission shifted and slammed back into gear. I stopped in a safe location, cut the car off and then back on, but the transmission is still slipping. The dealership was notified of powertrain, electrical, and oil consumption issues at three different service appointments, but the manufacturer has been no help at all. Had I not known what to do, this could have been a completely different scenario.

I visited the [XXX] in Greensboro, NC on [XXX], was inside the Y for around five minutes, and when I came out and got back to my car, the car would not start, the battery was completely dead. I called USAA Road Service, they came and said I had a very discharged battery. They helped me get the car started, and I got home OK. I do not know what caused the battery to fail. After the battery failed, It was inspected on July 9, 2024 by Green Ford in Greensboro, and then replaced by the Ford dealer. My safety was at risk because the dealer said the faulty battery probably was responsible for an accelerator problem I am experiencing (detailed in NHTSA complaint number 11619861) and a brake failure which I experienced (detailed in NHTSA complaint number 11619933). The Ford dealer that said the battery was defective, and as I said, replaced it (under the car's warranty). There was no warning that the battery would fail, and I do not know why it failed, and had no reason to believe it would fail. If the Ford dealer kept the failed battery, and still has it, it should be available for inspection upon request. How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2024 Ford Mustang Coupe verdict →
