Malfunction: powered running board on the passenger side of vehicle while vehicle was in park with door open and engine running. It closed while my hisband was resting his right foot on it and then it opened and closed and his foot and lower ankle was getting crushed. I had to run around to passenger side and when I opened the right rear passenger door the running board released and opened up. The car will be going to the dealer for its first oil change etc. and I will talk to them about this incident.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2024 Ford Expedition verdict →
