The contact owned a 2024 Ford Edge. The contact stated that, upon pulling into a parking space, the vehicle suddenly accelerated on its own. As a result, the contact lost control of the vehicle, only coming to a complete stop after partially driving through a storefront. The contact also stated that the forward warning collision system failed to activate. The air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a storage facility and deemed a total loss by the contact's insurance provider. A police report was filed, and injuries were not reported. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by the contact's insurance provider, and a case was opened. Upon investigation, the vehicle's incident recorder showed that the vehicle rapidly accelerated up to 17 MPH and that the contact did not depress the brake pedal. The failure mileage was 6,000.

The contact owns a 2024 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 2 MPH, a second vehicle crashed into the front passenger side of the vehicle. During the crash, no air bags in the vehicle were deployed. The occupants in each vehicle were transported to the local hospital but no injuries were reported. A police report was taken at the scene. The vehicle was later driven to the local body repair shop and it was determined that the vehicle was unrepairable. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 5,000.

The contact was driving a 2024 Ford Edge rental vehicle. The contact stated that while traveling in stop-and-go traffic the rental vehicle was involved in a multi-vehicle crash. The rental vehicle was crashed into from the rear and pushed into a second vehicle. A third vehicle was then pushed into the rental vehicle causing the rental vehicle to be pushed into a guard rail and roll down a hill. During the crash, the front driver's side air bag did not deploy. The contact sustained left leg, lumbar, neck, and abdomen injuries that later required medical treatment. One additional injury was reported from a second vehicle included in the crash. No further information was available. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed to the local towing yard. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 3,000.
