My vehicle is waiting for a fix for Recall 24V720000 / 95B – It is totally unacceptable that Jeep has no time frame for a solution for this horrific safety issue however my vehicle is having another even more dangerous issue that Jeep refuses to acknowledge and I know I am not the only one with this serious defect. My vehicle (2023 4Xe with 5000 miles) losses acceleration power… This has happened at least 10x over the past 5 months. The check engine light often flashes on and off or stays on steady during this. When engaging the gas pedal at various speeds (30-65MPH) the gas fails to respond or output any power causing the vehicle to slowdown dramatically. SIGNIFICANT risk of being crashed into. It takes flooring the gas pedal and anywhere from it 10-25 seconds for the power to kick back in / engage and accelerate. I have been trying to get this fixed since August. One Jeep dealership (had my vehicle for 36 days) replicated the issue but got ‘no code’ therefore they could not fix. Since the 24V720000 / 95B was announced 2 months ago no Jeep dealership (I have contacted over 18) will even attempt to investigate or fix this issue as they claim its related to the battery recall 24V720000 / 95B. I urge you to investigate this loss of power before something catastrophic occurs.

Second time we have had an issue with the battery. Unable to plug it is because of an unresolved battery recall, this time for over a month. We purchased the vehicle specifically for the battery and now we have to buy fuel.

Recall 95B. I have been given the runaround for months on the status of this recall from the FCA recall center and Jeep. I purchased a hybrid Jeep 4xE with the main purpose of being able to run both electric and gas. However, jeep is telling me not to charge the vehicle, do not park it in the garage, and to make sure that it’s not parked near any structures because of explosion/fire hazard! This is completely unacceptable to not have a resolution for such a major concern in a timely manner.

The safety of this vehicle is a ticking time bomb. We are instructed not to park in or near a structure, near other vehicles, or charge it. Even if I don’t not charge it how am I supposed to park at my own home? How am I supposed to park at work? You are putting several lives at risk not to mention others vehicles, houses, businesses. I do search and rescue and have my k9 with me pretty much at all times. I am told it can ignite at anytime but it’s ok to leave my dog in? Where is the safety and concern over my highly trained k9 let alone family pet. I will never feel safe with this car again. I asked if they even replaced the battery if they could tell me it wouldn’t happen with the new battery and I could park back in my garage and they said no they couldn’t say it wouldn’t happen again.

While driving on highway/freeway at approx 70 mph 2023 Jeep wrangler 4xe suddenly lost power/engine shut down. I coasted safely and pulled over from the fast lane to the right lane of the freeway to the shoulder. Vehicle was able to be restarted and able to be driven. Now at the dealership.

This is the second time this jeep stalls out on us. This most recent time we were traveling on the freeway going about 70mph when all the sudden the jeep’s motor shuts off and is unresponsive. We are literally coasting in the middle of nowhere hoping the vehicle has enough momentum to get out of the way. Something was blinking on the dash but i couldnt pay attention to that as I was trying to pull over safely. Jeep did not start back up until 2 hours of of waiting on freeway. There are a ton of recalls for this vehicle and as it sits right now the plug in for EV port is not working at all. It makes a ton a strange noises. And to top it off this is a rental car that shouldnt be on the streets earning revenue. This jeep needs to be appropriately recalled before someone gets injured.

My gas gauge read 37 miles till empty and then died in the middle of a main rd. Had to get it towed $320 for the tow and $200 diagnostic fee. Just to find out that the gas gauge is incorrect and not to trust it.

Lost total power in the fast lane on the freeway! Lots of flashing indicators: "Service Charging System", "Brake and Push Button to Start", Transmission Gear "D" flashing with the gear it was in "D and little 8", telling me to put it in Park while I was driving on the freeway trying to get over to the side...how is that even possible?, further it was coming to a stop quickly like a heavy regenerative braking was one making it even more dangerous as we would about to come to a total stop on the freeway! (I read someone in a Tesla died this way). This was dangerous for us and the cars around us. I have read they have a recall for this very issues in Dec 2022, but MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED in the recall so there is a much bigger issue going on! All my recalls are up to date per the dealership. So need NHTSA to step in/up! I attached pictures of what was on the dash after we got over the side of the freeway (was not able to record while it occur for safety reasons, of course).

Brand new 2023 wrangler with 600 miles on it that I’ve had for 4 days and the engine completely cut off on the busy highway with my whole family in the car. Message appeared on the screen stating “performance limited, service charging system”. We were eventually able to get the engine on again by turning the car off and on which was incredibly dangerous in the middle of a very busy highway. We are very very lucky that this did not all result in a serious accident

I received a recall notice on my Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe that the vehicle could suddenly shut down while in motion and needed a repair to prevent this from happening. I took it into the dealer to get the repair. At this point the vehicle had about 1200 miles on it. About a week AFTER getting the recall repair, the vehicle shut down without warning while I was driving it in all electric mode. I had to pull off the road, coast to a stop, and restart. I took it back to the dealer and they said that they had never heard of this happening AFTER getting the recall fixed. They said they didn’t know what to do to address it and would be reporting it to Jeep/Stellantis HQ in Detroit. The dealer is Jeff D’Ambrosio in Downingtown, PA. They said they would be back in touch once they heard from Detroit. This is extremely concerning and should be investigated.

This vehicle was sold unlawfully to me, with an open recall on it. I purchased the brand-new vehicle from Sterling Heights Dodge, Chrysler Jeep New car dealership on 3/23/23. I got at open of business 9am left shortly after 11am with the new car.3/24 The vehicle engine lights came on, RPM's were revved high, engine was making loud noises. I called the dealership to make an appointment with service, I was told I can't bring my car there for service it had to go to Toledo Service Dept Grogan the closest to me. I was told to drive it as is it would be fine. On 3/26 my vehiicle abruptly stopped in heavy traffic with my 5 year old grandson in the backseat. Nothing worked, all power was dead. I have videos of this. I had to get out and motion for traffic to go around us, several time we were almost hit. The car was towed to Grogan they got it in for service 3/28. It was discovered by the service manager on 3/23 when I purchased my new car that New car had an open recall on it launched 3/14/23, and the dealership entered 3/23/23 as the repair date to bypass the system because you can't sell a brand new car with an open recall. The car is dangerous, it has been sitting in service since 3/28 until present date totally disabled without ability to be fixed by Grogan experts. The car was unlawfully sold, it was not disclosed there was a open recall or I would have opted to buy a different car. The car is a lemon they will not take the car back although it was sold unlawfully New Cars are forbidden to be sold with open recalls, and open recalls are to be disclosed prior to selling consumers cars. It is going to cause a very serious accident with injuries and potentially even fatality.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4-door 4xe verdict →
