The car will occassionally lurch forward while braking. It's somewhat random but most often happens when going down a slight hill. My best guess is that there is an issue with the transition from regenerative braking to mechanical braking. It feels like the vehicle momentarily looses contact with the brakes and that the brake pedal has to be pushed down another inch or two to reengage. My concern is that if this happens at the wrong time that I will get in an accident. This has happened ever since I bought it. It's not very often, maybe once a week. Speeds have been variable from under 25 to highway speeds.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2022 Toyota Sienna verdict →
