Hybrid battery system, still don't have heat after 2 years of car ownership. Not to mention the hybrid battery failure rate, I've driven several times and the vehicle will just have no power. I bring it to the dealership almost monthly and they always have some excuse. The vehicle's lane assist is also a hazard. I'll just be driving down highway and it'll just jerk the wheel randomly.

I would like to file a complaint against Jeep. I drive a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE with 16,000 miles. While driving to the Store, the electronic parking brake engaged while driving. This caused braking system damage. Jeep / Manufacturer are refusing to reimburse me. The total cost was: $9,129.26. This effected the Actuators, Brake Calipers, Rear Rotors, and Brake Pads. This is not normal wear and tear, however a safety-related defect.

The electronic steering quit working at 55 mph, I was very hard to steer afterwards, there wear other indicator lights besides the steering warning light, I will add a picture of them. I did already do a report but have pictures to show the problem. I kept the core to figure out what happened, there is water in the unit control area for the motor. The issue started at the same time the water pump was leaking, and I believe that caused the water and corrosion in the electronic area. I also have another invoice for the diagnosis from the hudson dealer for about 600 dollars but mislaid it, If I need it I can get a duplicate.

The Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) systems on my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee are consistently failing to operate as intended, creating a significant safety hazard Symptoms include: System Inactivity: The FCW fails to alert or provide braking assistance during clear, high-risk frontal collision scenarios. Persistent Warning Lights: The 'FCW OFF' indicator illuminates on the instrument cluster and cannot be cleared by toggling settings in the Uconnect 5 system. Software Defaults: Following Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, the FCW and Pedestrian Emergency Braking (PEB) systems default to 'OFF' and often remain disabled despite user attempts to re-engage them. Hardware Misalignment/Blinding: Frequent 'ACC/FCW Limited Functionality' messages occur even in clear weather with clean sensors, indicating a potential calibration or module communication failure. I am referencing XXX and Manufacturer Communication XXX regarding these specific software/hardware faults. Despite these known issues, the dealership Ziegler Chrisler Doodge Jeep Ram in Schaumburg, IL has been unable to provide a permanent resolution. This failure leaves the vehicle without critical, advertised safety protections during operation

Issue 1: After several recalls - the battery issue still remains. Often not kicking in and leaving a power deficit (loss of motive power). The gap is short, but when low speed on battery and you push the accellerator to merge/turn, etc. and there is a delay - it can cause an accident. Issue 2: The investigation of alerts of pedestrians - happens intermittently. There has never been a fix. Issue 3: The tire pressure monitoring system fails to read intermittently - a warning on the dash indicates it is not working and to get it checked. Dealership has noted problem, but never fixed. Still occurs 3+ years. Issue 4: Radio/infotainment system blanks out or becomes unresponsive. When relying on this device for navigation, that becomes a problem.

known software glich known as "the Italian Bug" Car switches to Italian and disables FCW, paddle shifting and changes many features to metric, farenheit to celsius, psi to kpa, mph to kilometers, many features can be reset but not FCW and Paddle Shifting. It's unknown what other features get disabled but this all causes significant driver distraction trying to reset everything while driving as they are encountered. Jeep has multiple TSBs on this with no known permanent fix.

I own a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee that is experiencing unintended automatic braking while driving. The crash detection/forward collision warning system shows a constant warning light on the dashboard. While driving under normal conditions with no obstacles present, the vehicle will suddenly brake on its own. This has occurred multiple times and now happens almost daily. The problem first occurred on November 26, 2024, the same day I purchased the vehicle used with approximately 34,158 miles. The issue has continued as the mileage has increased to approximately 51,500 miles. This creates a serious safety risk because the vehicle can suddenly brake in the middle of traffic without warning, which could cause another vehicle to collide with the rear of my vehicle. I am concerned about the risk of a crash or injury. The problem has been reported to the dealership multiple times since purchase. The vehicle has been in the shop for repair attempts, but the issue has not been permanently corrected. The warning light remains on and the unintended braking continues to occur during normal driving. The vehicle is currently available for inspection.

Randomly, and without warning, the instruments, gauges, and displays will switch into a language I do not speak or understand (Italian). Coinciding with the switch to Italian language, cluster and radio display settings revert back to default settings, auto door locks and paddle shifter becomes inoperative (with no menu to enable), pedestrian emergency brake (peb) lamp or forward collision warning (fcw) lamp turns on with no way to disable, units of measurement including speed, temperature, etc. all change, and many other random settings change as well. ***This is clearly a dangerous situation because of all the functions and gauges that change, and the fact it is difficult if not impossible to recover from this due to the language of the setting menus, and the complexity of discovering and navigating through all these changes. When this happens, even if one is able to wade through all the settings menus and change setting back, some items cannot be reset (like the FCA off lamp). I have had this to the dealership 4 times to be fixed without success. Because this is dangerous (for settings/gauges/units to no longer be useful while driving), and it occurs randomly.

Issue has occurred at least 4 times: upon start, vehicle infotainment system appears in Italian language (difficult to revert to English as menu controls are now in a foreign language). Forward Collision OFF warning light illuminates on dash. Vehicle settings show all forward collision warning systems are ON. Earlier this spring, when we started our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the language had changed itself to Italian, the units were metric, the ‘Forward Collision’ off icon was stuck on the dashboard. Also the paddle shifters did not work. In May, 2025, we paid $204.41 to Gary Mathews Motors in Clarksville, TN to ‘diagnose’ and ‘fix’ the issue. Fast forward to this month, and the issue happened again! They didn’t ‘fix’ anything. See forum where HUNDREDS of other owners are experiencing the same exact issues: [XXX] Also see Star bulletin regarding this issue: [XXX] From what I can see in the forums, there is no permanent fix for this issue. Despite this, Jeep/Stellantis keeps charging customers to ‘diagnose’ and ‘fix’ the issue which is a scam/fraud since they know there is no permanent fix. I have reached out to Jeep, and been promised follow-up from one of their specialists that never comes. I have all transcripts and promised timelines to expect follow up that never happen. I will attach photos where they admit they haven’t met the timeline for follow up that was communicated, and as of now, despite additional promises of communication/follow up I still have not heard from them. Having a forward collision system that does not function properly puts myself and others at risk. Also having a dash in units/language you do not understand is also a safety issue. The system has many errors, The primary issue is the forward collision warning indicator light is on showing that the service is off. But it isn't, you can go into the system settings and turn the service on and off without issue. The light stays on. It does work as far as I can tell also. It seems to be causing the paddle shifting to be disabled. I can't downshift going down a steep grade and am being required to use by brakes. Which can be very dangerous. It is causing another issue that I cannot recall at the moment. There is another issue with the settings of the vehicle randomly changing to Euro type metric settings. The clock changing to 24 hour, tire pressure changing to kpa? mph changing to kph, all the different unit of measurements changing over. Randomly, not at the same time but consistently every few weeks. At first it seemed like it was connected to a monthly software update, but now its random. The vehicle has been taken to a Jeep dealership in Sherman, tx about the issue of the Forward collision system and they fixed it. Then the problem reappeared a month afterward. I've called and they confirm that the correct US software is installed. I am the only driver of the vehicle, so no one else is changing the settings. I work a full time 9-5 job and do not work close to a dealership, which has become an issue for these matters. All the issues I have had with the vehicle seem to be related to them updating the software without my approval. Currently my vehicle has 71k miles on it and won't be covered by the 50k warranty. The warning light issue started after 50k miles.

While driving on a local neighborhood street at approximately 38 miles per hour, ( cruise control possibly engaged) , all the lights on my dashboard suddenly illuminated. A messages appeared stating that service was required for every guidance and braking system. At that moment I became concerned, so I attempted to use the brake. Despite pressing the brake pedal as hard as I could, the car did not slow down. I cannot remember if I downshifted using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel, but I was able to coast to a manageable speed and pull into a parking lot. I then turned the vehicle off and on again, but all the warning lights remained on the dashboard. After waiting for about five minutes, the vehicle was restarted, and this time none of the warning lights were on. Since I was very close to home, I drove the rest of the way very slowly. Later, I searched online and discovered that other people have experienced this same problem. Some of the information I read suggested that water can get into a component, and it had been raining on the day of the incident and the day before. My primary safety concern is what would have happened if I had been approaching a stoplight or driving on a freeway where I needed to stop suddenly. I am confident that I would not have been able to stop in time to avoid a crash. It is frightening to think of what could happen if a child were to run into the street and this happening. I immediately made an appointment with my local Jeep dealership. The dealer has since driven the vehicle 98 miles but has not yet been able to replicate the issue.

On April 12th my husband and I were driving our Jeep after it had a recall and update to fix the recall of a battery issue on all 4xE models. We were doing 45 mph down the road and it threw an error code that said “Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System”, “Service Emergency Braking System” the Jeep then shut off and said for us to push the brake and press start for us to turn the car on in the middle of the road. We were able to safely get off the road, when we came to a stop the car put itself into park automatically. We had to start it a couple of times to make sure it was ok to turn around and drive home. It was then towed to the dealership. They told us they could see the issue logged in the system but they could not replicate the same issue after driving it. They told us that we had to come and pick up the Jeep and I told them how unsafe that made me feel for us and everyone on the road. They told us there’s nothing they could do for us. We got the car back and another issue arose where are Passive Entry Switch became corroded and our car kept unlocking itself throughout the night. The day we got it back from them we were driving it and we got the same “Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System” again. So I brought our Jeep back again and they told me in the service department they’ve been working with the engineers at Jeep and they are waiting for an update to fix it and it’s one of four in the area with this issue and Jeep is fully aware of the severity of the issue. They also told me they would be holding on to our car until it’s fixed. I was called by the head of the service department at that dealership and was told they need their loaner car back and they got word they’ll maybe have a fix for our car in November. They knowingly gave us our completely unsafe Jeep back and told us to try for Lemon Law - with all parties knowing the severity of the security and lives put at risk on the road. We have gotten this error code many times and are told there is no fix
