This vehicle has a chronic issue with an unreliable parking brake. The brake is required to be engaged each time the motorcycle is parked since the motorcycle automatically puts it into neutral when the back is turned off. The ceases to hold the bike in place even on minimal inclines because of poor design. The brake requires replacement and/or adjusting every few months and is not reliable. I've had it replaced twice now in less than 1-year, and the Honda dealer will not cover the cost ($350) even though the motorcycle is under manufacturing warranty. It was bought new in 2022 from the Honda dealer (DFW Honda, Grapevine, TX) and has ~3000 miles. When researching the issue within Honda forums onlines, this is a chronic issue that everyone experiences and complains about with this motorcycle - Honda Goldwing DCT.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2022 Honda Gl1800a verdict →
