Today, I attempted to turn left onto Indiana State Highway 12 and as I was turning my motorcycle lost all throttle. The result of losing throttle meant I fell over in the middle of the highway. After reaching 6mph, the throttle sputtered and the traction control light flashed. Thankfully, the drivers on the highway were paying attention. If they weren’t, I could have easily died because cars travel at speeds of 50-60mph, even though the speed limit is 45mph. This is not the first time I have had this issue. On May 1, I had this issue at an intersection, but was able to avoid falling over. Unfortunately, it was not the case today. If Honda doesn’t have a fix for what I believe is a software issue, I have serious concerns about the safety of my motorcycle. This is truly a life or death situation.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2022 Honda Crf1100d4 verdict →
