While traveling approx 15 mph, I pulled in the clutch lever to change gears and the engine lost all power, I had to pull over immediately and put the bike in neutral and turn the bike off and on again. I was in heavy traffic when the bike lost all power. It’s only happened the one time and I haven’t ridden much since then, and the dealer rode the bike and couldn’t reproduce it. There’s apparently no official recall for manual 2022 Africa Twin, but there are multiple other Honda bikes of the same year that have similar issues with recalls. The dealer just rode the bike around and since he couldn’t reproduce the issue, and since there’s no recall for this model, then there’s nothing they can do. There were no warning lights or indicators besides the RPM’s dropping to 0 and the bike acting as if I hadn’t cranked it yet.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2022 Honda Crf1100a verdict →
