Like most other Honda Rebel CMX 1100 motorcycles, my engine leaks oil. It is coming out where the stator wire goes in. This is fixed by replacing the stator since the wires do not separate. Honda warranty refuses to cover the cost of their failure. There is also a small rubber plug at the bottom of the frame that connects to the motor. This holds the entire motorcycle together. Like most others out there, it is rusted completely inside the frame. I have no way of knowing the extent of the corrosion in my motorcycle frame because the hole is too small for a borescope. Either way, all I can see inside the frame is rust with alot os rusty dust coming out. If something happens to me on this motorcycle, go after Honda please.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2022 Honda Cmx1100 verdict →
