When the battery voltage suddenly drops the vehicle loses its power steering making slow speed turns extremely difficult. This poses a serious risk of the inability to control the direction of the vehicle and this makes a crash extremely probable.

When in adaptive cruise control the vehicle must of not seen the lines properly and started to steer towards the ditch. Then when trying to steer back onto the road the truck keep trying to steer into the ditch. The truck was fighting the drivers input even though the truck should deactivate the adaptive cruise control when manually taking over. The truck end up in the ditch and ran over a mailbox. The truck was inspected by Ford but they claimed nothing is wrong with it. It says in the manual that adaptive cruise control sometimes doesn't detect lines properly but when taking control the vehicle shouldn't continue to steer into a ditch. The Ford dealership were not able to get the same results because how can they when this problem doesn't happen all the time? The vehicle should not be fighting the driver instead it should of canceled the adaptive cruise control. It's very dangerous and I think needs to be looked into.

The contact owned a 2022 Ford Maverick. The contact stated that while her grandson was driving at various speeds, the steering wheel locked and the vehicle lost power steering and functionality. The vehicle flipped over several times. An unknown warning light illuminated. It was unknown if the air bags were deployed. A police report was filed. The contact’s grandson was taken to the hospital via ambulance due to sustaining injuries to the back and neck. The vehicle was towed to a local towing yard. The insurance company was contacted and deemed the vehicle a total loss. The insurance company towed the vehicle to an unknown location. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 27,000.

I was involved in an accident. During the accident none of the airbags deployed. The impact was so hard that it lifted the truck up off the ground and spinned us around 90 degrees. This resulted in the individuals seated on the passenger side of the truck to be thrown into the door fairly hard, with one passenger hitting her head on the window even with the seatbelt on. The point of impact was the drivers side back tire and bumper area.

The contact stated that after she parked the vehicle, her daughter unlatched the rear passenger's seat belt; however, the shoulder strap that she had placed behind her was twisted and inadvertently retracted. The seat belt then seized while tightly wrapped around the contact's daughter's waist, causing her breathing difficulty. The contact had to cut the rear passenger's seat belt with a scissor to release her daughter. The contact's daughter sustained bruising on her stomach and waist; however, medical attention was not received. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 34,115.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford Maverick. The contact stated that while driving at 75 MPH, another vehicle side-swiped the contact's vehicle on the passenger's front side; however, the side curtain air bag failed to deploy. There were no injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an auto repair center. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number - 22V594000 (Air Bags). The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the parts to repair the recall are not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.

I was hit by another car in between the passenger side front door and the passenger side back door. I was hit with enough force to push me off the road. There was no side airbag deployment.

The main fuel line feeding the fuel pump ruptured without warning, causing gas to spray across the engine compartment. The hot engine caused the gas to start cooking off, resulting in a fire in the engine compartment. The fuel line rupture has been confirmed by my Ford dealership.
