I receive notice about recall 22s17. Brought to Ford service in Woodbine, NJ. After my truck was reprogramed the truck doesn't intially connect to the trailer. If I turn off ignition and turn back on the truck doesn't realize it is connected to the trailer. I must idle the truck get out of my truck unplug then plug the trailer connector back into the 7 pin plug for the truck to recognize the trailer for the trailer brakes to work. This truck is my only work truck and I need a solution quickly.

How to use these: a complaint is one owner’s report, filed voluntarily and published unverified. Patterns matter more than any single story. If several owners describe the same failure at similar mileage, put that system at the top of your pre-purchase inspection list. Back to the full 2022 Ford F-550 verdict →
