The contact owns a 2021 Mercedes-Benz S580. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V365000 (Electrical System, Communication) however, the parts to do the recall repair were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The local dealer was notified of the issue and confirmed that parts were not available. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving or while the vehicle was idling, several warning lights and computer screen intermittently illuminated and malfunctioned. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that a system software update was needed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the part was not yet available. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
