At 60mph the vehie suddenly did a 180 and went backwards down the road. Fortunately it was a straight stretch and no oncoming traffic. Rear axle sized up, drive shaft shrown, and rear shaft froze resulting in equivalent of rear brakes onky thus the 180. Rear axle lost all lubrication and this is very similar to existing safety recall on other Ram models but not this one.

My 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie was parked in my garage. I started it to let it warm up before driving. The garage started filling with smoke and the smell of fire. I backed the truck out of the garage and noticed flames on my backup camera. The 7 way plug was on fire. I quickly shut the truck off as soon as I got it out of the garage. I put water on the fire to get it out before it took over the back end of the truck. I had drove the truck the day before and filled it up with gas so my life and my son's life was as risk knowing there is a electrical issue. It also was parked in our garage when it started smoking and it could of burnt the whole garage and house down if I didn't get it out of there as fast as I did and noticed it burning. I had contacted 3 dealer ships and they all said sorry we can't help you. I decided to contact Ram directly to file a claim. Ram told me specifically not to take it to any dealer and they would look into it. 3 weeks later they sent out an investigator to my house. They took pictures of the truck and the damage. They plugged in a code reader and it didn't throw any codes. I asked the guy for the report and he said he couldn't give me one. I have since heard back from Stellantis and their email said things like this happen and they have declined any further assistance associated with this fire. They than said to contact the insurance. A fire is a safety issue and there is major concerns of safety. I don't feel safe when they said it was safe to drive after they did the investigation. I took it to a dealer ship to have it repaired and it started to smoke twice driving it to the dealership.

The rear driver-side wheel detached from the axle, resulting in an immediate loss of vehicle control. As a result, the truck left the roadway. The detached wheel landedapproximately 150 feet behind the vehicle, on the opposite side of the road from where the truck ultimately stopped. Insurance has not yet completed its inspection of the vehicle; however, the crack and damage to the wheel were observed at the scene by a volunteer firefighter, the responding officer, and the tow truck operator. Additionally, an independent witness reported that the truck appeared to abruptly lift off the roadway, as though something suddenly caused it to “go flying.” Due to the sudden nature of the incident, no warning lights illuminated prior to the loss of control. All airbags deployed during the incident. The tailgate was dislodged, and the driver’s side of the truck sustained severe damage, including significant damage to the axle. The vehicle is not operable. While insurance has indicated the truck will likely be deemed a total loss, the claim has not yet been finalized. Video documentation is available showing the location of the detached wheel relative to the truck’s final resting position.

This engine has failed by the head gaskets, literally all 4, cracking/breaking. This caused coolant to leak into the engine, mix with the oil, depleating the coolant, thereby causing the truck to overheat and break down. With repairs this continues to happen. 3 times to be exact! This cannot be normal for this engine especially when this happened with less than 90K miles on the engine.

On Thursday, January 8, 2026, I was operating my vehicle when an oncoming single vehicle traveling in the opposite direction entered a curve at an excessive speed, lost control, and crossed into my lane. I attempted to steer away to avoid the collision; however, the oncoming vehicle struck my vehicle along the driver’s side. The collision caused significant damage to the driver's side and resulted in a failure of the passenger-side rear wheel/tire assembly, complete detachment of the tire from the vehicle. During the collision, none of my vehicle’s airbags deployed, despite the side-impact nature of the crash and the force of the collision. 1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The airbag restraint system failed to deploy during a significant collision involving the driver. The vehicle and airbag system remain intact and are available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The lack of airbag deployment during a driver-side impact increased the risk of injury to me as the vehicle operator. Airbags are designed to provide supplemental protection in collisions of this type, and the absence of deployment reduced occupant protection. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No diagnostic inspection or reproduction testing has yet been performed. Evaluation by a dealer or manufacturer representative is pending. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? Police responded to the accident scene. The incident has been reported to insurance representatives. Manufacturer inspection has not yet occurred, but the vehicle remains available for review. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lights, dashboard messages, or other symptoms related to the airbag

I opened my passenger side front door. The running board deployed. When the running board contacted my shin it automatically retracted. However, my dog got his paw caught between the running board and the truck frame. The running board did not sense the obstruction. I had to hold my dog down to close the door and open it again to deploy the running board. My dog bit me in the process because he was scared.

Inside cab is getting moisture in it. Prior to noticing this we had battery drainage that causes truck not to turn on. They replaced radio they found it was drain battery. We continued to have battery drainage where it wouldn’t turn on after a full charge overnight. The truck would go to turn on but would only make clicking noises and wouldn’t shut down for 20 minutes even though wouldn’t start. Other times we’d turn off truck and it wouldn’t turn off. Now our truck is molding inside and front and rear windshield drip of moisture. The moisture drips onto dash and down the console. This could affect electrical components. There is less then 10,000 miles on it. We’ve had brakes jam up on us when we back up and there is nothing even close to us.

Both driver/passenger side adjustable sun visors broke while driving the vehicle, causing the visor to smack me in the face, and almost veering into another street lane without intention to do so. Now that they are both broken, it is ineffective to use in order to block the sun from blinding the driver while operating the vehicle. This presents a very unsafe driving condition, as they are constantly dropping from the fastening arm. Before I attempt to purchase new replacements, I feel this should be replaced at cost by the manufacturer cause there is intricate wiring inside the arms which have detached from the fastener. My vehicle isn't even three years of age and the sun visors are not handled rigorously outside of normal operation handling. See photos provided.
