Both cracks immediately lengthened 2.5 to 3 feet within 15 minutes of crack starting. Multiple small chips over past 2 years that have not occurred in our other vehicles that are driven similar routes and distances. It is evident that there is a problem as so many other owners have complained of the same issue . With the ease in which these windshields chip and crack , it is very concerning for safety in that it would likely provide little protection in a crash and it likely does not meet safety standards. Based on the major cracks starting spontaneously on the edges, it could be a problem with the frame/structure as well as lack of strength in the glass. Steps should be taken to correct this issue before serious injuries or fatalities occur.
