They have stated that I can have the current issue fixed (the recall) but it will be replaced with the same part and come out of my pocket as well as saying that I will run into this issue again until VW Corporate has come out with a solution and so far it has taken 6 months. I have waited patiently, as we all know, as time goes on the issue is progressing. My local dealership keeps trying to get me to trade in my vehicle but I should not have to take more money out of my pocket when this is a RECALL to begin with.

Both times the shut down occurred it was over 80 degrees in the car at least. At least a week ago and then yesterday October 22nd. But if you were to cut the car off you would just get the starter system message and it wont turn back on. The first time I took it to a mechanic and they couldn't find anything wrong, the next day I took it to VW and they also couldn't find anything in their inspection.
