The emblem on my car contains a sensor/radar for adaptive cruise control and foward collision warning that is also connected to automatic emergency brakes. The safety of me and my [XXX] old are at risk because if I needed assisted braking/collision warning, my car no longer provides that. The braking on my car feels as if I am needing to apply a lot of pressure on the brake to stop completely or even to come to slower speeds to adjust to traffic. The problem was reproduced prior to me officially picking up my car on [XXX]. The estimator told me that he isn't quite sure what is causing the sensor issue but according to the calibration system it is working fine and he doesn't know how to fix the issue. As for the brakes he said that they feel fine to him. My car was inspected by Crash Champions and I have been told that my vehicle feels fine and the sensor is working fine according to the calibration system. TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2019 TOYOTA COROLLA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOWING FACILITY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY HER INSURANCE COMPANY THAT THERE WOULD BE A FEE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED. CANVENDER TOYOTA (5730 NORTHWEST LOOP 410, SAN ANTONIO, TX 78238, (210) 681-6601) WAS NOTIFIED VIA PHONE OF THE FAILURE. PRIOR TO THE CRASH, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO UNIVERSAL TOYOTA (12102 I-35, SAN ANTONIO, TX 78233, (726) 444-6959) DUE TO A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR BRAKES. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR ROTORS WERE WARPED AND NEEDED TO BE RESURFACED. THE BRAKE ROTORS WERE RESURFACED ELEVEN MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CRASH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED.

MY DAUGHTER WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT ON 11/16/2019 @ 11:57AM AND SHE REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE GOING 40 MILES PER HOUR. THE CARS FORWARD COLLISION NOR DID THE CRASH IMMINENT BRAKING SYSTEM WORK. THE SEAT BELTS DID NOT LOCK UP NOR DID THE AIR BAGS DEPLOY CAUSING HER TO HIT THE DASH BOARD AND THE PASSENGER TO HIT HER HEAD ON THE DASH BOARD. SHE HAS BRUISED RIBS, BRUISED STERNUM, LUMBAR STRAIN ETC. THANKFULLY THIS DID NOT RESULT IN SOMETHING WORSE. HOWEVER, THIS SHOULD BE A CONCERN SINCE THERE IS AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION REGARDING THE MALFUNCTION OF THE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING,

HOLD BRAKE FEATURE FAILED, VEHICLE ROLLED CAUSING A COLLISION. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND RUNNING ON A CITY STREET, HOLD WAS ENGAGED AND WHEN DRIVER DOOR WAS OPENED THE PARKING BRAKE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. AFTER STEPPING OUT AND CLOSING THE DRIVER DOOR, VEHICLE BRAKE DISENGAGED AND VEHICLE BEGAN MOVING RESULTING IN CRASH WHILE UNOCCUPIED.

TAMATA RECALL - MY CAR BREAKS AND PCS FEATURE FAILED RESULTING IN HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT MAKING TOTAL LOSS OF MY CAR, TOYOTA COROLLA XLE 2019. I STILL HAVE PAIN IN MY NECK AND OCCASIONAL CHEST HURTS. I REPORTED THE HAILEY TOYOTA THAT BREAKS DID NOT WORK TWICE AND PCS DID NOT WORK. THE SERVICE MANAGER DROVE THE CAR WITH ME IN THE PASSENGER SEAT BUT PCS DID NOT STOP MY CAR ONCE AND NO WARNING LIGHT CAME. VIN # IS [XXX]. ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON BAILEY BRIDGE ROAD ON JAN 27, 2019 AROUND A LITTLE BIT AFTER NOON TIME. TOYOTA CASE NUMBERS ARE [XXX] AND [XXX]. EDR REPORT WAS RECORDED BY TOYOTA REP ON 2/8/19 AND SENT TO BOSCH CO IN MICHIGAN. POLICE RECORDED IN THE SUMMONS ISSUED TO ME THAT IT WAS BRAKES FAILURE. THIS IS TOO DANGEROUS TO BE ON THE ROADHOUSE THIS CAR AND ONE CAN LOSE A LIFE ONE OR MORE. PLEASE ADVISE TOTOTA HQ TO FIX THE DEFECTS SO THAT NO ONE LOSES LIFE AND ALSO COMPENSATE MY DAMAGES,ETC. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE CITY AND MOVING. I WILL SEND SOME DOCUMENTS LATER.
