I was driving on a two lane state road. Two vehicles we traveling in front of me in the left lane. The further vehicle in left decide to make a sudden stop at a traffic light. The silver sedan behind that vehicle was traveling too close to react appropriately. The sedan avoid the vehicle in front of it and impeded into my lane and collide with my vehicle. My airbags in my 2019 Corolla failed to deploy.

On February 17, 2024 I was involved in a hit and run. I was T-boned on the passenger side and the front passenger door wouldn't open and no airbags deployed. Later on in February I received a Toyota Airbag Contol Unit Settlement. I haven't ever received an recall information on any recalls for my vehicle.

The contact owned a 2019 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH and making a left turn, another vehicle crashed into the passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle spun, hit a pothole, and landed on the grass on the side of the road. The front driver's side bag failed to deploy. The front passenger's side air bag was deployed through the front passenger seat was not occupied. The contact did not seek medical assistance immediately. The contact drove the vehicle to the side of the road. The contact sustained neck pain, bruises on the left knee and buttocks, and pain on the back of the head. The contact later sought medical assistance. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard, where it was totaled. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 88,000.

The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated while driving at 60-65 MPH, the vehicle shut off and lost electrical power. All the instrument panel warning lights including the lane departure assistance warning light illuminated. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The vehicle failed to restart. The contact then refilled gas in the vehicle with assistance and was able to restart the vehicle. However, the failure reoccurred while driving and the vehicle failed to restart after several attempts. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and drove to his residence. The contact stated while at a complete stop, another vehicle driving at 45 MPH crashed into the rear end of his vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy and the seat belts failed to engage. The contact sustained soreness and bruises on the upper and lower back and on the right arm and right shoulder. The passenger occupying the front passenger seat sustained head and neck injuries from slamming their face on the dashboard. The passenger occupying the rear passenger seat sustained whiplash, and neck and back injuries. The contact was able to drive to a hospital where the two passengers and himself received medical assistance. A police report was filed. An unknown dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not provide any assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 TOYOTA COROLLA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT, AT HIGH SPEED ANOTHER VEHICLE REAR ENDED THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND PUSHED THE VEHICLE TO THE POINT WHERE HE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RESTRAIN HIM. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED LOW BACK AND NECK INJURIES, THE FRONT PASSENGER HIT HER FACE AGAINST THE DASHBOARD AND SUSTAINED A FRACTURED NOSE, BRUISED LEGS AND ARMS INJURIES BOTH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OTHER DRIVER DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A REPAIR TOW SHOP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WENT TO ALBERIC MOTORS MITSUBISHI, CARR. PR 1 K.M 30.3 BARRIO, CAGUAS, 00726, PUERTO RICO, AND ASKED FOR A CARFAX REPORT AND WAS INFORMED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE HIM WITH THE CARFAX REPORT. THE CONTACT THEN INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE AND THAT THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V024000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 37,000.

MY DAUGHTER WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT ON 11/16/2019 @ 11:57AM AND SHE REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE GOING 40 MILES PER HOUR. THE CARS FORWARD COLLISION NOR DID THE CRASH IMMINENT BRAKING SYSTEM WORK. THE SEAT BELTS DID NOT LOCK UP NOR DID THE AIR BAGS DEPLOY CAUSING HER TO HIT THE DASH BOARD AND THE PASSENGER TO HIT HER HEAD ON THE DASH BOARD. SHE HAS BRUISED RIBS, BRUISED STERNUM, LUMBAR STRAIN ETC. THANKFULLY THIS DID NOT RESULT IN SOMETHING WORSE. HOWEVER, THIS SHOULD BE A CONCERN SINCE THERE IS AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION REGARDING THE MALFUNCTION OF THE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING,
