The rims of the Mercedes continually crack with moderate low speed driving. Has happened 4 to 5 times with under 50,000 miles, leaving me with constant flat tires, once on the George Washington bridge and once at night in a deserted area with zero warning. Luckily, I was able to remove my vehicle to the side. I was towed to Mercedes and they suggested changing out all 4 tire rims without a warranty as will happen again. VERY EXPENSIVE. The coupe models have this problem after 2019. Material for rims came from China, not Germany. I found a good rim repair shop and have done 4 times. He said he gets these all the time and there can be no warranty as the design of the tire and rims is flawed. 175.00 per rim. Mercedes of 2019 and forward as well as BMW's of this model (a Coupe) have this as recurring problem so no warranty on the work. Clearly a materials, manufacturing defect that Mercedes won't own.. I carry a Ryobi blower in the car and have to blow up my tires every morning which deflate every night.!! Crazy

The steering wheel locked and the left tire was knocked out of place. According to Mercedes, repairs were required to the suspension system, new struts, new knuckles, steering gear. I bought this car at end of June, dealership never disclosed information that car had an active recall… I looked it up on NHTSA and sure enough I need a SIM card for emergency service, the site says it will be done over the air wave , I brought it to the Delray Beach Fla dealership who told me they couldn’t update it and had no idea when and how this recall will be handled. I have called the Nhtsa # every day for 2 weeks, no one ever answers the phone, I have left numerous messages, but no call backs, please advise me when and how this recall will be done ? I have the Nhtsa app and there is no information from anyone anywhere , very inconvenient for me to leave car at dealership for 5 hours and have them tell me not only that they can’t fix the recall but they have no idea when or how it will be done.. The website states that if it cannot be done via airwave that the dealership will update but no one seems to have an answer??? So I just spent 35,000 on a car that I can’t use for the purpose I purchased it for and no answer, please advise when and how this recall will be handled.

The active brake assist front radar sensor is defective. Mercedes Benz USA has failed to provide the part for repair even through the vehicle is only a few years old. They claim the parts on back order until April 2024, which is totally unacceptable. Several Mercedes Benz dealerships in the United States do have the part but refuse to release it to other dealerships.

May 28, 2022Airbags1 injury
On December 4th 2021, while driving my airbags deployed without warning or notice. On a normal day at this time I would be traveling on the highway. The impact of the airport was so intense it stunned me and I thought another vehicle made impact. The chemicals of the airbag got al over my clothes, skin, and the interior. The steering column was sent to Germany for review and it was determined it was a technical issue that was not my fault However, in a different circumstance this could have caused a severe problem fatal collision woth another vehicle or object if I was traveling at a greater rate of speed. At the time of deployment I was traveling under 20mph. I did notice a warning lamp just a couple of hours prior to its deployment and called Mercedes to schedule a service to look into it. Approx 3 hours later the airbag deployed. The components in the steering wheel flew out causing damage to the interior of the vehicle and if it made contact with me could have cut me as well. I had discomfort from the chemical as a result of it getting all over my clothes, hair and skin. I was bruised and mentally impacted. I drive with the fear an airbag can deploy at any time in any vehicle I'm traveling in and cause me or my daughter bodily harm, damage or death

The vehicle with only 29,775 miles on it, and I bought it new, made a knocking noise in the brakes and the brake pedal jumped up and down at first stop sign when I left my house. I reapplied the brake to see if it would work. It did. I turned onto the highway and within two blocks the vehicle shifted itself into N, a message on dashboard said pull over, contact service immediately. I was able to coast then turn onto a side street. Upon stopping the vehicle, another warning came on the dashboard: Reversing Not Possible Service Required. This vehicle has had quirky electrical problems from the beginning. I have reported to the dealership at least 3-4 times. I believe this could have been a very dangerous situation for me and my family if I was on an Interstate. I have no confidence in this vehicle now.

I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR A YEAR AND A HALF AND I DON'T DRIVE IT MUCH. THE VEHICLE HAS 12,000 MILES ON IT AND I'M A VERY CAREFUL DRIVER. I VERY RARELY HIT ANY POTHOLES AND HAVE NEVER BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. AFTER MY TIRE KEPT LOSING AIR, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT THAT NOT ONLY IS ONE OF THE RIMS CRACKED BUT THE OTHER THREE RIMS ARE BENT. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED, CONSIDERING HOW CAREFUL I AM AND THAT NO ONE ELSE HAS EVER DRIVEN MY VEHICLE BEFORE. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT I WAS SOLD A VEHICLE WITH DEFECTIVE WHEELS AND THROUGH RESEARCH, I SEE THAT MANY OTHER CLA OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES. THESE WHEELS COST ABOUT $1,000 EACH TO REPLACE AND HAVE THEM INSTALLED BY THE DEALERSHIP AND THIS IS NOT ONLY VERY COSTLY BUT DANGEROUS FOR MERCEDES TO CONTINUE MAKING.
